[Video] - Vector's temple

[Some of you might be familiar with the noise of metal crunching as it hits something after falling at least a short distance, and Cliffjumper grunts, swears and, after a few moments, gets the video on.

It's mostly Cliffjumper's faceplate and upper torso that can be seen, plus a view of the sky and some spire-tops of Vector's temple, though he's looking slightly... wild-eyed.]

... Slaggin', rusty, scum-spewin' scrap! [The view wobbles as Cliffjumper changes his grip, then stabilises again.] Anyone else got stuck with somethin' new poppin' up courtsey of your glyphs?

Blurr, how the frag did ya get a handle on this?

[... there's a pause, and Cliffjumper half looks like he's about to say something more but then closes his mouth. Not yet. He'll... Well.]

... I'd rather have some condoleances 'cause I wasn't lookin' for this, slag it all!

[Cliffjumper huffs, scowling. No, he's not pleased about this little boon. At all.]

It isn't a bad change, however. You'll probably enjoy flying when you get used to it.

I've got a jetpack. [Shifting around, Cliffjumper grmaces and shakes his helm.] A jetpack's more than enough for me. It gets me where I want to go if I need or have to, ya know?

And if I really was lookin' for the slaggin' ability to fly, Starscream could've helped me with that.

[He's not comfortable with this!]

But it could be useful, not being dependent on a jetpack. Or on friends. You never know when it might come in handy.

[Sorry Cliff, he's an endless optimist.]

Yeah, yeah, I know. [He waggles his hand, scowling.] Just ain't all that comfortable in the air, no matter how slaggin' useful it is.

Way too much air between me and the ground.

It's better if you try not to think too much about it.

Tell that to my processor 'cause I don't see how I can't think about it.

I can use the jetpack to get where I need to go when I do need to use it, but... frag. I think there's a reason I'm a car and not a jet, ya know?

You'll get used to it in time, you'll see.

Maybe. [Huff.] Not sure I want to, though, 'cause then all this slaggin' noise would've been for nothin'.

[And that would just make him feel silly.]

[That gets a chuckle out of him.]

Hey, there's nothing wrong with changing one's mind.

... Maybe not, and I suppose this is a thing where changin' my mind would be a good thing 'cause it'd make it easier to use this, but I dunno if I want to have my mind changed about this.

[Which probably sounded really strange, but... it was what it was.]

[He won't laugh. He's making a lot of effort, but he won't.]

I guess only time will tell.

[How gracious, Skyfire. Cliffjumper gives him a narrow look, but since he doesn't laugh, he won't say anything.]

Since it's here now and I probably ain't gonna be rid of it, yeah. [Huff.]

... Did you enjoy flyin' from the beginning or not? Even if you're made for it?

[He's not sure what made him ask, precisely, but done is done.]

I certainly did! There is a lot of freedom in flying. And in my case... well, my form isn't just made for flight. It's not very good for being on land, in a way.

And Blurr seems to like it perfectly fine, too. [Huffing, Cliffjumper's not sure if he should feel annoyed someone who's a ground vehicle likes it so much.]

'Cause of your size? [Since that was the only thing he could think of that might interfere with anything - flight hardly made it impossible... Unless things weren't built with enough allowance for wings, of course.]

Well, Blurr also had his share of... ah, incidents, at first. It didn't come naturally either.

[Seriously, Blurr needs to stop scaring him someday.]

That's right. Even in Cybertron, my model is far from average. It's not as if I don't fit in buildings and the like, but I do need to be extra careful.

Yeah, he did. Fraggin' annoyin'... [Cliffjumper grins briefly at that and then shakes his helm.] Meant more that even if he had issues at first, he sure's taken to it now.

Huh, yeah. That's true. At least ya ain't need to be worried in the temples here, since they're built larger than average?

He needs to stop making us worry. [He sighs.] But, yes, he's managed to get a good grasp of it after all.

And yes, you have a good point there. The temples are quite comfortable for me.

He really does, though I suppose he's just been unluckier than most of us... not like I ain't in the same position sometimes.

[He grins dryly and snorts.]

Hey, at least one good thing outta all of this, then.

... well, if you put it that way. I suppose I don't exactly have the moral high ground here.

Don't think many of us can claim that. Blurr's just gotten the most of it lately I think... Dunno how he manages that.

I have the feeling that curiosity has a lot to do with it.

... Yeah. Which would make sense considerin' his job before comin' here. [Snorting, Cliffjumper rolled his optics.] Fraggin' spies.

[There was some amount of affection in there, but still. Spies, man.]

I guess some habits are hard to let go of.

Yeah... whether it's a good idea or not, to do that. [He can admit that much, though that's not necessarily in relation to Blurr but rather the issue of letting go of the war, of the need to carry his weapons and his wariness.]

Thanks for checkin' on me though... at least I know there were a few mechs around that coulda picked me up if Starscream hadn't been here.
