[Text | Law system and Police force news]
[ooc: Blurr posted with text for once to make sure this was easy to read. Your char doesn't have to reply to this post and talk to him but it would be cool if they replied to the app form IC-ly. More info about all this here.]
As some of you might recall the necessity of a multi-universal law enforcement system has been brought up.
All societies have the right and duty to establish their own laws to protect their people and bring the victims among them whatever restitution they're due. While this planet may not fit the traditional definition of a society according to each individual's standards there are commonalities binding all of us and situations occurring which fall outside any individual jurisdiction. A committee of law officials, a police force and a general system of redress are necessary to prevent more violations of people’s rights.
The obvious question you might have now, I suppose, would be: who would compose this committee of law officials? Who would regard them as worthy of their position and respect? And, of course, how to deal with criminals who are beyond normal bounds of civil behavior?
The law committee members would be determined by popular vote and you all are free to submit an application. The issue has already brought up briefly to some of the FirstForged, sir Vector Prime and sir Prima. I plan on asking them if they can make sure that above else there won’t be any sort of bias or corruption in regards of the vote/selection. We need a stronger power.
The basic idea is for law officials of different worlds to come up with a system that could be posed for everyone to see and then voted on. We're looking for volunteers to serve in the law-making body of the organization and especially those who possess a background in the fields of law enforcement. Below you have a formal application to fill out if you are interested.
Regardless, once the committee is established and a list of laws is set, if some citizens do not agree with a law, they can demand a referendum. Nothing would be done without a consensus. We have to work on all this together, not make our lives harder. And we will need to build up some more structures to make this work.
Committee and Laws aside, I would like to take responsibility for the Police Force. Law enforcement is a high-stress, people-intensive profession. Those who are interested in join the police force will have to fill a job application, pass a psychological evaluation and perform a fitness test. I won’t be making those up, there are standards police entrance tests. The new recruits that need some training will also be assisted by one or more Drill instructors.
Thank you all for your attention, any sort of input is appreciated as well as questions.

Thinking on applying for a seat? If you ask me, I think you could be very good at it.
no subject
I think I'm already disqualified, Blurr. I'm not exactly felony free.
Private
Are you scared that it would be too much work to handle? You from all the mech would notice if something in the committee changes for the bad. Which I will try to make sure it doesn't happen.
Private
nervous?]
It's not the work. And I trust you. Implicitly. And that makes me question myself, actually. Look. ...Blurr...
--You're gonna blow a gasket trying to do all this yourself. I want to help you. But I want you to know I have reservations.

Full Name: Starscream
FirstForged alignment: Liege Maximo
Credentials: Postwar Decepticon Representative on (homeworld) Cybertron, mediating disputes between Bumblebee and Metalhawk. During the war I served the Decepticon cause under
the mightyMegatron and challenged the corruption of the entrenched Senate, as well as its supporters, who would later become Autobot High Command and co.For my part as a high ranking officer in the Decepticon Army after losing the war, crimes against sentient species etc, I was held in custody briefly in the Kimia Facility and outfitted with a killchip, before the Autobots released their prisoners in exchange for assistance putting down a neutral riot. I then attempted to work towards better housing conditions and did not petition for the removal of the chips. That was Metalhawk's idea.
Technically I'm still under watch. Back there.
Here, I haven't done anything worthy of criminal note, though I did assist one incredibly self-effacing Elite Guard (answers to 'Blurr') in capturing Prism after he repeatedly outraged a number of Autobots and Decepticons alike.
Private
Then what it is? [He doesn't sound demanding, he really does care.] I'm not trying to do all by mysel.....okay I not trying to do all by myself anymore THIS is exactly why the police force and THE committee is being organized so things doesn't get ruined because I can't take care of everything as well as I should and so we can all have an opportunity.
...Killchip?
All your references will be listed as explained in the post thank you sir. Self-effacing hm... [Sounds about right.]
Private
Oh, I didn't mention the killchips before, huh. They detonate inside the brain module. Instant death. Of course, that was only if we didn't behave. [good old Blurr, he knew he could count on him to be morally outraged by the Autobots' ...questionable ethics in his world. Blurr is a decent guy.]
Thank you. I'm not expecting anybody's going to vote for me, and probably ten mechs will have a specific problem with me, but. ...You deserve an attempt.
Private
[Of course he is outraged. Very outraged, in fact, and it showns.] That is barbaric. [And makes the Autobots no better than those they call 'bad guys'.] WHO had the detonator? And it's still inside you?
The right of everyone to have a voice is what I wanted if I only could have had one thing out if this, it would have been that..
[And if it counts for something. Starscream has Blurr's vote, but that is confidential and he keeps it to himself now.]
Private
Bumblebee had it, yeah. And I'm trusting you by telling you this--I haven't had it removed. It's just deactivated right now, but that could change. [and if the surgery weren't pretty complicated, he'd already be in trying to get it out.] ...so keep it between you and me. [hesitates] Please.
[dammit Blurr this being cute thing has to stop.] Uh huh. If I get in, that'll be what I work for, too. I like seeing all the angles.
Private
I wouldn't trust Bumblebee with the tv remote control MUCH less a detonator. [Blurr likes his fellow Autobots but you gotta know the bumblebee on his world to understand why is he saying that. That racer is making a sour face at the idea of that chip still being inside of Starscream.]
I won't tell anybody. Are you sure if not a good idea to ask Barricade if he can take it out? We don't have to tell him what the chip does.
[But he does cute so well.] I would be appropriate to have different point of views.
Private
[snerks at that--poor Bumblebee.] It's not like he didn't try to use it, either. Not on me, but--Bee's the kind of mech who has a hammer and thinks his problems look like nails.
Thanks, Blurr. ...Barricade? [he sounds surprised.]
My thoughts exactly.
Private
[Well..yeah poor Bumblebee BUT accurate!] I'm surprised he didn't lose the remote control instead of doing that HE tried to kill one of you then?
Barricade was a Decepticon too and he helped Soundwave after Prism attacked him 'Cade might not be an official medic but he's smart and knows how to deal with his sort of things. [Blurr thinks it worth a try.]
I wish you the best luck.
Private
[he hesitates] We'll make time. If you'll be around, I mean. While it happens.
[and then he's all confidence again] I don't need luck, but it can't hurt. Thanks.
Private
I will. [He answers without doubt.]
HEH.Youareverywelcome.
Private
[he's beyond touched by that, so it takes him a second of clumsy fishing to reply] I-... you're the best Autobot I've ever met.
Private
[He's taken aback by that.] You must have met really special autobots then.
