[voice] Posting from the Solian sector
[ After being informed by Drift that biological warfare is still a Thing in at least one of the dimensions represented here, Ratchet's decided to play things safe in terms of infection control. This is why you're being treated to a voice-post, featuring the gruff voice of our favourite Autobot medic right now. ]
Right. Well. I don't care what kind of grudges you've got, but whether you're Autobot, Decepticon or something else, things like illness and contagious disease are an issue here, especially given our ... questionable resources. So, since there seems to be a sizable population of Cybertronians around, I'd request that any and all of you come find me if you're in need of medical attention. I can't promise to fix anything that ails you, but I can at least scan you and tell you what I'd need to fix things.
And I can promise that the longer you wait on finding me for medical attention, the more annoyed I will be that you waited. Keep that in mind if you're on the fence about things.
[ Yep. That was quite obviously a threat. Ratchet's a doctor, not a nursemaid. ]

[Voice]
[ Ratchet is audibly pleased to meet you again, Deckerd. ]
Hah, well, it's nice to speak clearly with you too! And I assure you, it was no problem at all. I wish we could have found him for you, but it looks like he isn't on Cybertron at all which... might be a good thing, really.
[ Part of Ratchet really wishes that his charge was safe at home, too. ]
[Voice]
[Oh, likewise.]
It certainly is! That's alright. If he's not here, that is for the better. I'd rather have him safe back in Japan.
So you're an engineer of sorts?
[Voice]
[ Ratchet hums with understanding about Yuuta. ]
I understand that feeling ... and well, I'm a medic. To a human-made mech like you, I suppose that would translate over to being an "engineer". The difference between the two for Cybertronians is that medics work with live metal, while engineers work with the non-sentient stuff. I suppose you could draw a similar distinction between doctors and biologists, perhaps?
[Voice]
As for us BP models- well. We are alive, though we are not a species like you are. We were built by humans to be autonomous. However Yuuta, the boy that I am looking for is the one who gave me a heart. Or a soul, depending on how you look at it. Otherwise, I would not be able to comprehend feelings. All the other BP models have a base-copy of my AI, so they too can think and feel.
So... I suppose it's not terribly different. Simply that our origins are.
[He's going to have a long inner-monologue about this later.]
[Voice]
[ Ratchet's never heard of any way to program in that essence that raises robots up into true sentient beings. He's curious as to how humans managed it where Cybertronians haven't. ]
[Voice]
[You can almost hear the vague gesture he makes.]
He just taught me. Every day he'd visit me and speak to me as though I were another person.
One day, I really was.
[There was more to it than that, but Deckerd doesn't really want to get into how he became aware of loneliness and sadness first.]
[Voice]
[ He senses that there's something private behind this story, though, so he doesn't push much further. Medics develop a sense for sensitive topics. ]
I'd like to meet him someday, in better circumstances. He sounds like quite a unique boy.
[Voice]
Oh- he would love this place, meeting everyone here. I think he'd have a field day.
[Voice]
And, hah, I don't wish that he'd come here, but it would be nice to meet him someday, perhaps.
[Voice]
Well, naturally. If he did though, I'd definitely introduce him to you.
