He plays around with it a little, and accidentally turns on the video function. Tiny optics blink out onto the network, and he continues fiddling around with it until he manages the texting function.]

[The image of the small being coming onto her communication device certainly gets her attention. Curiosity roused, she decides to answer after some hesitation, choosing to use video so that it could see her in return. Her voice is quite soft when she speaks, feeling shy.]

[The mention of the gas makes Annie pause to think for a moment out of confusion. She knows of one gas, but there was no need to ever escape it in her personal experiences, and it had never been widespread.]
