[The feed opens to a reveal Wing, composed though a tad concerned.]

Greetings. I am Wing. I am searching for a certain medic who's name I regrettably did not get. Autobot, airframe, white red and cyan. Discernible by an unfortunately notable lack of hands.

[He'd leave that part out, because gosh, who needs to be treated to gory descriptions upon a first or even second communication with a stranger, but it really is the greatest identifying feature of the mech he's looking for.]

I met him in the Junk Pile and left him to seek aid, but when I returned he was gone.

Doctor, I hope you're out there and managed to make it to safety by other means. If so could you let me know? Or if anyone else has seen him and can share his whereabouts or condition I'd appreciate it.

Starscream, I realize I was a bit remiss with my earlier imprudent comments. It's not typically my way to intentionally antagonize or promote ill will. You don't have to accept my apology but I will offer one none the less.

[Really, he generally tries not to rise to the occasion in situations like that. Stop giving him such good openings! Unless you actually enjoy the verbal banter, in which case he'll oblige you.]

I'd say, 'Is that so strange to you?', but I imagine given your faction it might be.

Does this mean you accept me as being superior to you in every way?

Well there's a leap of logic.

Superior? [Certainly not in manners.] Can I ask how it is you earn such a status? In short, convince me.

By being incredibly skilled, a genius, and exceptionally good-looking. In other words: by being me.

Skill is good, though in what is key. Unless you profess that you are highly skilled in all areas?

Intelligence retained is the not the same as its application. It may take some time to prove that.

And being good-looking will get you followers, though their immediate interests and priorities might not do you any favors. Unless you're in need of physical satisfaction of course. [A shrug.]

What are you, some sort of philosopher?

Aside from annoying.

Historian. Knight. Explorer. Scout. Swordmech. To name a few.

Oh so you were an explorer then? What made you change your path?

And yes, because having people to support you and come to your aid when in a fight, low on resources or vying for power in a strange place where you have no allies is so annoyingly inconvenient.

[Grimlock would make anyone dislike swords. But conversely Wing is much prettier with his. And better trained, I guess that's noteworthy.]

Oh you know, I found that mindlessly killing was far more rewarding than traveling around the empty voids of space.

[Wing will soon learn that Starscream BSes most of what he says. It's just not always easy to tell which he's being truthful about.]

And who needs friends when I can have lackies and personal slaves? I have a giant living shield walking around here somewhere. Unless he found a shiny rock somewhere. Sparkly things seem to catch his attention. Anyway.

[This is very true. Grimlock was far more stabby with his sword and would rather impale Starscream with it than have any sort of discussion.]

I was actually talking about allies and compatriots you could trust to both watch your back and also pull their weight in battle same as you do but-- Friends are even better than that.

Because they'll do all that and die for you too.

Most planets are full of dull lifeforms. Believe me, you should see Earth. Talk about a backwards species.

Lackies will also do that if they are scared of you enough.

Assuming they have nowhere else to run, sure, lackies will die for you. [Sadly.]

Lets just say that I have a certain level of faith that he will continue to play that role for a very long time.
