[Please, have Alpha Trion sitting at a desk, looking very distinguished while he sorts through a stack of datapads and musty-looking books.]

Hm.

It seems that I may have...misplaced...something.

No need for alarm, it's nothing pivotal this time.

[He looks around the library, managing to appear only slightly less sheepish than he feels.]

However, given the recent events, I took the liberty of checking for the Tome of Possibilities, and...ah.

It wasn't there.

[Oops.]

Has anyone noticed any missing pages floating--perhaps literally--about?

Barring that, could anyone give me a list of what has changed?

[If he couldn't get the pages back, he might at least be able to set a few things to rights. Maybe. Hopefully before there was any major damage done.]

[He shakes his head, however.] I'd certainly prefer this didn't happen, ever.

[Barricade practically blanches, quickly tucking the page behind his back.]

Just remembered it, from way back. Never wrote any myself. My writing skills beyond reports are lacking. [But he writes a fabulous report, really.]

At least it didn't alter the very laws of physics.

It is important for someone to remember. [He may sound a little more grave than he intends to, there.] I'd be interested in a copy of these, in fact.

Thankfully, altering the laws of physics aren't within this Tome's capability.

However, it is more than a little disconcerting to find it gone...

[He guards his library like...well. Like a librarian.]

Make it sound like the multiverse will end if someone doesn't. [Which is a strange notion to him.] Sure you'll be wanting this page back, but I could always write down the rest of what I remember, if you want.

You don't seem like the kind to just misplace things. Think someone pilfered it?

I would like that, yes. There are thousands of books and datapads that have fallen through the Lambda, but with millions of possible universes out there my data is sadly incomplete. [Except about Starscreams. Everyone seems to write about them.]

That is one worry, yes. [He hasn't seen Amalgamous in quite some time...]

Suppose I'll see what I c'n recall. Not all that surprising what you've got is incomplete, though; lot of dimensions out there, and I'm sure mine isn't the only timestream that lost a lot of that sorta thing to war. [The thing about Starscreams wouldn't really surprise him; they're easy to ~~complain~~ write about.]

Would explain why pages of it ended up in our hands, unless the book has a mind of its own and an unfortunate sense of humor.

The war does seem to be the focal point of chaos in other universes. [Much like the Lambda is, in theirs.] I would, still, appreciate that.

...

And we'll just hope that's not the case. [MOST of his books behave.]

Still, did you find yourself inconvenienced or changed by this?

Only know of one timestream that hasn't had one yet. And lord the fact over the rest of us. [He rolls his optics.] I'll give it the old college try, then.

Changed, yes; I have thrusters in my legs now. The only inconvenience is that they c'n only be activated and deactivated with haiku.

... And that I don't have any skill in using them. [Which was part of why he'd abandoned that project to begin with.]

You've traveled through time? [Because, really, your poetry is nothing compared to that fact.]

So you'll be wanting to get rid of them I assume. [Still, doesn't hurt to ask.]

"Timestream" is just what they called dimensions, really. Since folks showed up from different times in the same dimensions. I'd rather avoid time travel if at all possible. [He does not want to deal with paradoxes, they hurt his head.]

Probably for the best if I do. I ain't meant to fly.

[Yes. You...really do have more information than he would have expected! Teaches him to assume.]

I believe that you and I are going to need to have a talk. In the good way! When you bring over your page, I'd like to hear more about these alternate dimensions. [It might be able to help them solve their own dimensional rift.]

As for the thrusters, I'll get those taken care of shortly.

[Just so, so dryly:] Are you sure we don't need to have a talk because you're breaking up with me?

I'll tell you what I know, if you don't mind a lesson in quantum physics while I'm at it. And potentially excessive amounts of numbers in ridiculous classification systems. [He might as well offer fair warning. Alpha Trion was nice enough to ask for what he knows rather than just taking it, after all.]

I would be incredibly interested in all of the above. We may be able to pool our thoughts and find a way to return all of you to where you belong.

So long as we don't accidentally unleash a zombie horde to start with. I'd have to shoot myself on principle if that happened. [Again.]

We take our creator's decisions into account. [Assuming it was even Primus who put those Glyphs on.] However, sometimes opposites attract.

My preference would be to avoid the zombies. If they happen, though, don't shoot yourself.

[He pauses.]

Mm, so he's the one handing out glowing tattoos at the door, huh? [Ever the skeptic on that front.]

Ah, that would all depend on where I shoot myself, wouldn't it? [He chuckles lightly.] Besides, if I started a zombie apocalypse, someone oughta shoot me. I should know better than doin' that.

He might be. Or it could be an elaborate hoax, or a scheme to indicate who one's life partners should be. As you may have guessed, our presence here seems to be largely about learning these sorts of things.

We're in the dark, you're in the dark... that's all just so. Cute.

[Or familiar in a way that makes his tanks roil.]

Twice. Once a piece in the other two dimensional hubs I visited. Not pleasant either time.

Is it? Because I think I would have gone for 'distressing' instead of cute. [But maybe cute means something different where you're from. He'll have to tweak the communicators.]

At least I'll know who to call if the undead begin to walk.

You're not overly familiar with sarcasm, I take it? [It's okay. Barricade's tone can be awfully dry whether it's sarcasm or not.]

Well, let's hope it doesn't happen, anyway. Always ends with a lot of running and screaming and processor aches.
