[Hey, there, Haven. You know how what's missing from this place is a helicopter that's actually, you know, nice? Well, here he is.]

Right. So, first order of business always stay together. [A grin.] So who's out there? Roddy? Arcee, babe?  Ultra Magnus?

Second order of business. [He'll heft his pistol. ]  Anyone wanna help me reload?  [Because it's just a matter of time before Quintesson Plot number 7,459 reveals itself and the shooting starts. He wants to be ready.]

And third. I could use a drink. [Like you wouldn't believe.]

Springer!

[Have a nerd, Springer! He seems happy to see you! ...no, not like that, you pervert!]

[Perceptor pauses. his pleased smile growing thoughtful for a moment.]

First order of business, as you say, for me: where and when are you from? [Because Perceptor would like to know if you're his Springer, or some other Springer before he lets his hopes get up too high.]

[Well, if Perceptor were from sufficiently far enough in the future, your answer might have been perfect, Springer. Sadly, it is not.]

Power core? Hmmm... Such an incident is not familiar to me.

[Which could mean that this is his Springer, just from the future, or that this is not his Springer. He sighs.]

I require the exact date, please? [He rattles off the date of the attack on Autobot City as an example.]

For you, perhaps, yes. Hm... Well, on a positive note, your chrono format is familiar. Unfortunately, it is from a point beyond my own. Wreck-Gar would be more sure than I, I think, however, I posit that you are the Springer from my reality. [Perceptor smiles, inordinately pleased about that.]

I am not certain how much the Acolytes explained to you, Springer, [or, really, how much Springer paid attention to, because Springer always was more of an actions-before-words sort...] however, in addition to this not being our own Cybertron, the individuals you meet here may come from entirely different realities as yourself. And, as in my case, even if we do hail from the same reality, we may come from different points in time.

Initially, at any rate. [He'll wait to blow Springer's CPU with explanations about spending years in a different reality altogether for once Springer has settled in a bit more, or at least accepted that they aren't in Kansas anymore, Toto. Look, Wreck-Gar! An allusion! Be proud of the nerd!]

[Perceptor quirks up a brow ridge.]

There is Quintesson "weird", and then there is being transported to an entirely different reality with multiple versions of the same individuals from their own base realities interacting.

[It suddenly occurs to him that Springer is a warrior, and he... will probably like Perceptor's alternate here - the sniper/soldier - better than himself - the scientist; the smile fades a bit around the edges. He should be used to that, really, but he'd gotten used to having his own little niche carved out within the Deadzone group. Perceptor is weary of starting over... especially if it's only to lose everything again.]

[He sighs, shakes off his musings, and then offers Springer a time stamp from just before the Zombie! Optimus insanity.]

That is the date of my most recent memories from our reality, however, it has been several years between that point and now for me. I sojourned within yet another reality splinter with individuals from various universes between then and now. I have only recently arrived here, myself, and am initiating the process of constructing laboratory facilities of some sort.

[But, hey, once he gets his lab up and running, you'll be happy to know, Springer, that Perceptor learned how to bartend and mix up some mean high-grade in those intervening years!]
