[Hey, there, Haven. You know how what's missing from this place is a helicopter that's actually, you know, nice? Well, here he is.]
Right. So, first order of business always stay together. [A grin.] So who's out there? Roddy? Arcee, babe? Ultra Magnus?
Second order of business. [He'll heft his pistol. ] Anyone wanna help me reload? [Because it's just a matter of time before Quintesson Plot number 7,459 reveals itself and the shooting starts. He wants to be ready.]
And third. I could use a drink. [Like you wouldn't believe.]

Arcee? [Looks a little different, but hey, all the different is totally in a good way. ]
...how many Springers do you know? [Hey, this guy? One of a kind!]
No, Elita One. [She shakes her helm slowly, still somewhat unsettled... Though, by now, it's all carefully tucked away where it belongs; in her processor, to be dealt with in private.]
Only one, which was why I assumed... [She gestures with a hand at the screen to indicate Springer himself, and even manages a small smile.] But besides the slight differences in lines, the one I know dropped his third mode a while back.
[So close, and yet so far. Wouldn't be so bad if she knew more people and had a greater chance of meeting those she knew.]
Aw. [He sounds disappointed because frankly? You're kind of hot. Even though Arcee would smack him for even thinking that.] So you're Optimus's girl?
[A slight widening of the optics.] Dropped his third mode? Who'd do a crazy thing like that? [Because Springer never does crazy things, of course. Ever. Nope. ]
I'm... [Elita's optics widens and the glow brightens a bit, stunned. Okay, back to this apparently, even if... she's rather sure this mech isn't from the same reality as the Optimus Prime she's talked to. The design aesthetic doesn't exactly match up.]
No, I'm not. I've only briefly met Optimus Prime where I'm from. [THE STRANGEST THING YOU PEOPLE KEEP INSISTING.]
Springer? [Despite her underlying mood, it's hard not to give a genuine little smirk to that.] Something about focusing his power in one altmode instead of two.. [She shrugs.] He hasn't talked much about it, more about all the changes he keeps doing.
Talking of your other points, though, there's energon widely available, and ammution shouldn't be impossible to find.
Really? So you're.......not taken, then. [Hey, he's just asking!]
[Snort.] I've got enough power for both alts. Believe me. [Or not. He'll be happy to show you. Wanna watch him bench press Grimlock? HE WILL DO IT.]
Yeah, but you see, this is sort of a special gun. [
God bless G1.][Video]
Taken..? [Helmtilt. Sir, that better not imply what it sounds like, but she's at the moment more amused than anything else.] No, can't say I am.
I'm sure you do, if anything I've seen would be the same for you. [At that she just chuckles and shakes her helm. This is, despite the discrepancy, somewhat familiar enough. It makes it both better and worse.
And that might be interesting to see, if only for the vague novelty (not that she hasn't seen Springer and Grimlock spar before, though). Unfortuantely they have no Grimlock to hand.]
... So what do you need for ammunition? [Now she's curious.] I know we've got a few scientists around, and if all else fails... You might find it in the Junk Pile.
[That's encouraging news. ] Hey, so. If you find yourself, you know, in need of a bit of rescue, name's Springer.
Kind of specialized stuff. I was hoping for an armorer. Or scientist. [Because they're both kind of the same, aren't they?]
So, what's there to do for fun around here? [A+ for effort?]
While it was a while ago I needed a rescue, I'll keep it in mind. [She means it, too, and thus missing any... flirting intention, since she knows (her version of) Springer's capable and dependable in a scrape.]
There's several Perceptors, at the least, though who knows if all of them are scientifically inclined... But we don't exactly have something like an organised armory around.
[She pauses, frowning.]
Might be an idea actually, if we get more creatures coming from the Lambda.
[An A at least. Elita just grins dryly.]
Fun's what you make of it? Some people are working on a rec center I know, and I think a shooting range were being set up as well... Anything else should come if you come up with it. [A shrug.] And if you like weird things happening and random attacks, we'll probably have more of those as well.
[About some things. ]
Creatures? [You have, if possible, even more of his attention.] How often does that happen?
[Quintessons. He knew it!]
[Have a bit of a cheeky wink.] More interested in what you do for fun. [How can you not fall for such a winning smile?]
How often do you end up doing that?
[Not like the Springer she knew didn't do that, but well. Inability to resist and all that.]
Since we came here? Only once, but I think the Firstforged indicated it's happened before. There was a whole bunch of different creatures, but most of them looked like this [and here, have the screen briefly showing a... Sharkticon. Yeah, that's going to make Springer not believe it's not Quintessons.]
Oh, well... [Have a smile back; this is a bit too familiar to not give in a little at least.] Exploring, mostly. Enjoying my speed. If I'm forced to get even more settled... [She shrugs. Then she'll widen her repertiore. Exploring, at the moment, is both interesting and a good idea, since she's basically mapping the Haven.]
[AS HE FIGURED.] Sharkticons. [Oh hello there, old enemies.]
Exploring, huh? Need a partner? [Oh he's so smooth. Teddie should be watching this and taking notes.]
[Being the Graviton's head of security, after all, didn't necessitate Springer to think ahead anywhere else but exactly that single thing; the security onboard.]
Oh, that's what they're called? [She'd thought they'd seemed... faintly... familiar, somehow, and the name seemed to fit, but nothing had fallen into place until now. Not that they were any more familiar than before.]
[... And she shouldn't. She really, really shouldn't, she knows. But even if it's not the same Springer, spending a bit of time in the company of someone somewhat familiar couldn't be bad, right?
Except it could just as well be, but she would just want some familiarity...]
I wouldn't mind it, no. But I doubt you could keep up.
[She grins, teasing, hiding her faint hesitation where the unsettled, unhappy reaction to all this has been stuck; in her processor. To be dealt with in private.]
Yeah, Sharkticons. And where there are Sharkticons, their master buddies aren't normally far behind.
[Which is why they need to be ready. But he can do this. He's so got this. And with time to hit on pretty ladies, too.]
[What did he say? SMOOTH. If he were any smoother he'd be frictionless.]
Hey, you tryin' to say I can't keep up? [Which somehow turns into innuendo. Such is his magic. ] One of us'll be surprised.
[And then they got an Ultra Magnus from Robots in Disguise or something like that, and would have to revise "universal constant".]
... Their masters? [Helmtilt. What are you talking about, Springer? But she's totally listening.] I don't think the Firstforged said anything about somebody being responsible for the attack, besides that the Lambda itself sometimes pulls a larger group of unmarked things through.
[Smooth enough she's going to keep up the innuendo, anyway.]
I believe I am, yes. Few mechs can keep up with me, after all. [Still helicopter or not, she's rather sure you're not going to be able to keep up... in whatever way.]
[Springer's kind of curious about what she's hinted about the other him. N-not in an insecure 'he's better than me' way.]
And these First Forged are trustworthy?
Oh? [He quirks an optic ridge.] Sounds like a challenge, my lady.
I don't know... he makes a good commander who understands differences, so I'd think he'd know he might be different elsewhere.
[Oh, come on now. Both of you are surely exactly as impressive.]
... Well. [Elita frowns thoughtfully, tapping her chin.] I believe they are, yes, but they might not necessarily know everything that goes on in the Haven at all times, but they reacted quickly enough during the first wave of attack from the Lamdba.
I haven't met or talked with enough of them to get enough of an impression.
[Which... is a bit of a personal disappointment, perhaps.]
Of course it is. Think you're up to it? [The grin is sharp and amused.] I'm quite fast.
