After some consideration I have decided that this is probably the best course of action to take. I have a couple matters to put forth for your consideration.

First, I have not yet properly introduced myself over the link and I feel it is time I do so. My name is Megatron, I come from the same universe as Soundwave who arrived here before me. I would like to assure you that I understand the difference in my personality from what many of the other Cybertronians here have come to expect of someone with my name. Keeping this in mind I wish to assure everyone that I am a peaceful individual.

My second matter is I wish to inform everyone that if anyone needs someone to speak to concerning their own safety or other's they may come to me. I am aware of the police force we have developing here and have the greatest respect for all those involved. I also recognize that there are times when going to such individuals is not an option for various reasons, it is due to this that I am making myself available to anyone who feels a need for it. I will not allow the originating faction of any individual to alter how I assist any one, and I am not restricting any organics either, all are welcome to come to me and be taken care of.

I hope this does not offend you in any way. I did not wish to over step anyone but I am aware that some people do not feel secure going to the law, perhaps because the feel they will not be considered fully due to a personal history. I wish things did not go in such a way, but it does tend to be a factor in societies that have laws. Of course I will contact you or the police force if there is a direct need to, but not having it be a looming factor may be beneficial to some.

Well, you're certainly better spoken than several 'bots I could name off the top of my processor, I'll give you that much.

I think this place, while perhaps somewhat inconvenient for completing necessary tasks back home, is quite enlightening in terms of other universes.

Vastly inconvenient, more like.

But the rest is true enough, I suppose.

I only hope that I learn enough that when I return home I can drastically improve our lives there.

If it's at all possible. It may be that we're unable to affect anything at all, considering the potential temporal displacement involved in our very arrival.

[He takes a moment to wish Starscream were around to translate that sentence from science into something he, as a mathematician, could understand. Then he considers the sentence itself.]

You believe our arrival here is simply transient?

I'm uncertain, as of yet. But, if we are capable of returning home, it stands to reason we would need to return to exactly the point in which we'd left. Otherwise, we would mangle the time stream even further beyond recognition.

You see. There are individuals arriving here from the same general 'universe', so to speak. However, they appear to be arriving from different points in time, with no recollection of anyone being absent from their lives. Therefore, arriving here must theoretically create a split from the natural timeline -- thus enabling an individual to be both here, and in their world at the same moment.

Returning, then, would only further complicate things, especially were we to begin altering our worlds and timelines based on things we learned during our stay in this world.

That makes an unfortunate amount of sense. It would explain why individuals from later points in the timeline, such as Cliffjumper from coming from my universe, do not already know about the absence of someone from an earlier point, such as myself.

Have you developed any theories as to what might happen to us when we do return to our homes?

As of yet, no. Such an opportunity hasn't presented itself.

I see, might I request to be kept in the loop if you should get the chance?

I don't see why not. Once I've a proper lab set up, I can begin research in earnest.

Thank you, I would like to know what possibilities there are for when I return home, and if there is any way to ensure the least destructive impact to having been removed from my universe and brought to this one.

The possibilities are infinite, I'm afraid. If you follow the theory, every small decision we make results in a split of the various timelines, there's very little way to accurately predict what can, or even may, happen in our futures.

At the risk of sounding rather cliche, the possibilities are utterly limitless.

I can believe such a possibility, it would be a bit strange for me not to when I come from such a completely alternative universe to ones such as your own.

But can you fully understand what I'm saying? That for every small decision you, or anyone else for that matter, might make, there exists a universe in which they did precisely the opposite?

It's nearly too vast to comprehend.

I do understand, that kind of concept is not foreign to a mathematician. The possibilities aren't just derived from two opposite reactions to the same situation, even slight variables would create dynamic changes as time passes.
