First, let me just remind all of you that whatever is being said about me is probably not true.

Jetfire is making stuff up again.

Don't listen to him.

Ever.

Anyway --

Also I'm on the law committee now. Isn't that great?

[He's totally smirking with that last part.]

By telling the truth. I wouldn't think "corruption" had anything to do with the truth, Starscream. And it's been Rung and Four... I can't help what First Aid saw when you got me overcharged.

[His optics narrow a bit at that; not that anything bad technically happened, but it was the principle of the thing.]

What did you add anyway?

... Starscream, you were the one who got me the cube, I didn't touch much more than that, and unless you would like to claim someone contaminated the high grade before you got to it...

Why was no one else affected?

It's been thoroughly tested before I install and integrate it, Starscream, and the regular energon here have done nothing of the sort that happened at the gathering.

[Just. Crosses his arms. AND WELL NO, HE DOESN'T BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY INDEPENDENT ACTING FACTOR IN HERE!]

Or are you going to claim that it's about build up and the fact that I haven't had high grade in so long would adversely affect systems not used to it?

[He tilts his helm and gives Starscream an arch look.]

... While that may be true, and it's impossible to predict the affect of the energon of this Cybertron upon any of us, no one else seems to have complained about any... undue effects outside of what should be expected from known parameters.

[He has to actually pause though and give Starscream that last point, because well...]

We were having energon constraints even when you left, as you well know, since that was part of the reason the Nemesis and Ark were sent out.

[He huffs slightly and shakes his helm.]

So that would be over four million years, minus any time spent in suspended animation and plus any new modifications done.

I technically can't, no, but given the situation and the most likely course of events to have happened, and the fact that I haven't reacted like that to the energon previously or since makes it unlikely--

[Jetfire pauses and drags a hand down his faceplates.]

... But yes, you could be right. It's... possible the... ah, improbable option is correct.

[Happy now, Starscream?]
angleofscience: (I'll show you mild mannered - grr)

No, Starscream.

It's not.

But I'm not convinced you're correct, even if you certainly could be.

[Jetfire just shakes his helm and crosses his arms.]

There's really not enough evidence either way, and to truly test your suggestion if that's really how the high grade here affects my frame with the modifications, I'd have to get overcharged again in a more controlled fashion.

[There's no pause anywhere, but Jetfire's optics narrow slightly. Perhaps that is a good idea... If only so he can be sure of all possible reactions...]
angleofscience: (battle is a science - but better at one)

Like I said, no it's not, but I'm going to need more evidence in that direction to agree that I'm wrong. I could be, but so could you.

[...]

And this matters how? I don't usually leave it unlocked while I'm not there, if that's what you're wondering. Any other time, it's not.

[Helmtilt. Breaking in, Starscream?]

Ah... Er, well. I'll see what I can, ah... do to make sure you can get in. Without any undue force needed.

[Earlier irritation soothed by honestly pleased surprise - not that this was overly strange by now, but they'd usually just stayed over during a night or so, not requiring access while the other might not be present, Jetfire nodded.

He'd... just make sure anything too interesting wasn't present in his room. And especially not any high grade he might be creating.]

You could have asked, though. Without going to the "do I need to break in" angle immediately.

[Or did Starscream just want to feel a bit "bad" by necessitating breaking in?]
angleofscience: (smile - as predicted!)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-22 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
... Admittedly not.

[He shouldn't agree, really. He shouldn't agree it all, but...]

A little, yes.

[Jetfire can't really keep the small smile from escaping his control, but since he's already admitted it, it's not doing any damage really.]
angleofscience: (smile - sweeter than usual)

[Jetfire's even opened his mouth to respon, because he has done a lot of time without Starscream. They both have. But he closes it at the same time as Starscream says "don't answer that", both because of what Starscream said, and because he realises that might not be the best thing to say.]

... A lot of things, I'm sure, but you do lend a certain... er, edge to things. As well as ready arguments.

[That smile hasn't gone anywhere, but there's a tilt to his helm and a somewhat dry amusement in the look. Starscream nearly always had to argue anything and everything with him.

... Not that, he supposed, the same couldn't be said of him. Which was part of the charm of course.]

Of course.

[He somehow managed to say that straight and without laughing.]

When were you planning on, ah... moving in?
angleofscience: (ttly explaining things - confused yet?)

[Video] - locked

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-25 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Would I need to? I'm doubtful you could have amassed enough not to be able to move it by yourself.

[Not that he... hadn't gathered up quite a a bit by now, samples of energon, rocks... things like that.]

And anyway, wouldn't it be easier to keep at least some of it in your room, unless you weren't planning on going back there at all?
