[AUDIO]

[Audio clicks on, with the sound of someone fumbling with something before Arcee's voice comes in.]

Ratchet? Fowler?

Anyone? What the scrap is this thing?

Whoever's managing the Ground Bridge, I think you missed.

[Pause, as if waiting for a response, and a frustrated sound from her.]

For the love of Primus... Okay. If any Autobot slash US military person can even hear this, get me a Bridge out of wherever here is. I'm missing a young Scout named Bumblebee, and more importantly, two humans named Jack and Miko.

We're in sort of a dangerous situation, so let's make this hasty, fellas.

[OOC: Annnnnnnnnd with an extremely belated introduction thanks to health and life, say hi to Arcee. FINALLY. Yes I did just jack my sample post because it works for her just coming in. :D;;]

Fine.

I'm sorry.

Happy now?

[There's a faint, static sigh and while he'd like to be angry a bit longer, he usually isn't, especially when some sort of remorse - however sincere, was being shown.]

Thank you. It's appreciated, but I don't need you to be sorry, Starscream.

Just think a little bit futher next time perhaps?

[Just have an arch stare, because since he's already said what he'd prefer you do, he's not going to repeat it.]

Yeah, yeah. Won't do it again.

Cross my spark and hope to die.

[That's all he knows of that phrase, don't ask him to explain it.]

[Jetfire tilts his helm at the saying, but he assumes it's an Earth one and merely files it away. Though... they probably don't use "spark", so what might they use instead..?]

Do you want a thank you kiss for the trouble?

[He's perfectly serious, even.]

No, you might infect me with goodness or something.

And who knows what other stupid, happy, things.
angleofscience: (talking - what science is interesting)

[... Honestly.]

If it hasn't happened yet, I doubt it will happen now, and you haven't complained so far the times kissing has led to something else.

[He's not sure whether to be amused or exasperated.]

[... Give him a moment as he stares and then crosses his arms.]

Honestly, Starscream...

[Then Jetfire tilts his helm and while his expression is still straight enough...]

Is it working, then?
aerospacecommander: (starscream 7)

[He huffs.]

Of course not -- does it look like I'm saving kittens from a tree or anything remotely similar?
angleofscience: (awkward smirk - yes if you say so)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-26 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
What are you worrying about, then?

[Have a tiny smirk, Starscream.]

I see what you're doing.

It won't work.
angleofscience: (talking - science is relevant)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-27 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
And what, exactly, am I presumably doing?

[It's hard not to smile and merely be questioning here, because what he wants to do - except for the lingering sense of annoyance over even having had to start the original discussion - is sort of to go find Starscream and kiss him quiet.]

Except for merely giving you what you want, since I can't, as you've pointed out, make you automatically... "rescue kittens from a tree" merely by exposure to me.

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-28 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think you told me anything of kittens at the Keep, so... No, I don't, but I could make a guess.

... A member of Earth's fauna, and if it's large enough to be possible to rescue from a tree, not some sort of insect, and if it needs to be rescued from a tree, not a bird, and not a water-dwelling creature either, so I would surmise a land-dwelling mammal of small to moderate size, capable of climbing but getting into spots it might not easily get down from... Probably a young of its species.

This does of course still leave a wide varity of mammals it could be.

[He shrugs, and then gives Starscream a look.]

... But what does this matter? And perhaps you could reveal what a kitten is, then?

It matters because I know, and you don't.

And I may tell you eventually.

But not now.

Which is too bad for you, isn't it?
angleofscience: (... - stare)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-10-29 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
... I'm sure one of the humans present could at least describe to me what a kitten is, Starscream. Being that it's from their planet and all.

[What about that, huh.]

[personal profile] aerospacecommander 2012-11-02 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, and what if they don't?

[Blast. He's going to have to attempt to get all the humans not to tell Jetfire.]
angleofscience: (and then Jetfire went neutral - blank)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2012-11-02 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see why they wouldn't, since even if someone refuses, or another one gets... creative, there's more than one human from Earth here to ask.

Thank you for the permission, Starscream.

[Dryly said, before Jetfire paused, and almost killed the feed before he focused back on the screen again. He'd been annoyed over the cause for this discussion, yes, but it was, in the end, a small thing. Especially since Starscream had agreed to not do it again.]

Come fly with me later?

I'm not sure there is anywhere weird around here to fly. Merely wanting to explore a bit, and spend some time with you.

[The smile is a tiny but sincere thank you for agreeing.]
