One of the large inhabitants has informed me that we can take up residence with him.

[As if now realizing that this might actually be useful if there are a number of viewers, he pauses, and changes tactics.]

Has anyone found anything that looks like this? [He holds up his one, single can of gasoline, hoping that the camera on his communicator can catch it.] It might become necessary.

[It takes him a moment to realize how smoothly the language translation is working on this new communicator, because he's aware you're not speaking Japanese, but it sounds like it to him. It's incredible.]

Gunmax and I, and also Deckerd...are all members of the Brave Police. We are not Cybertronian.

Gunmax mentioned Japan. I'm not familiar with it, there's no Japan on my earth.

[Wait. What is Japan like? You've just asked McCrane, who is going to treat this as literally as possible.] It is a set of islands in the Pacific Ocean, bordering China, the Koreas, and Russia. The population is very dense.

[There was a reason they needed protecting, after all. Any robot that set foot in Japan had a 50% chance of stepping on a human.]

[Korra blinked.] China, Koreas, and Russia are new to me. But that sorta sounds like the Fire Nation--they're islands too.

[He smiles a little, at the idea that he was mentioned.] I am. And you are...? [He didn't want to be impolite.]

[He's also trying to figure out where you're at, from the video. On his end, he turns and starts heading back for those cans.] Where should I bring these to?

[Fire Nation was a new one on him. However, there was the possibility of time displacement, and the 'Fire nation' being an old name for Japan, the land of the rising sun, is not strange to him.] Is the Fire nation to the east of a large continent?

[Korra shows off her glyph.] I've got the same Megatronus glyph as Gunmax.

I think...not that great with geography. [Korra blushed, looking embarrassed.] It is kinda close to a large continent--the Earth Kingdom. Iroh, one of their great prince-generals, was called 'Dragon of the West,' so it's probably more in the western region.

It is nice to meet you, as well. Can you give me an idea of how to get to you?

[He's not sure, since he's not yet left. However, he dutifully catalogs the name of 'Megatronus Prime' as being another one of the inhabitants, before looking visibly surprised at the glyph that he recognizes from Gunmax. So. That was who the motorcycle detective had been chosen by. Korra certainly was outgoing, like he was.]

[It was a disappointment. It was less of a disappointment than learning that his Earth was probably not even in this reality, and thus was unobtainable by space, but it was still a disappointment. Still! You're human, and you're from an Earth!]

Have these inhabitants been treating you well?

It's so weird to think there's more than one Earth.

Hmm? Oh yeah, I've been good, no one's attacked me or anything...how about you?

It is strange. If there was only one Earth, we could probably fly home from here. [As soon as they learned which star it was. Still, it would have been better than this uncertainty. He's...worried. He's really worried.]

They have been patient, considering that we're intruders in their home. [He knows that he should take Prima up on his offer of residence, but he's still...hesitant. Having Gunmax and Deckerd to accompany him will help.] I get the feeling that they wish us to be returned as much as I do.

Acolytes cannot teleport, but they can transport. It'd take her about an hour-ish to reach the junk pile via acolyte. That, or she can catch a ride with someone. For the purposes of this, I think I'm gonna hand off the peaches to Gunmax who is heading to you anyhow!
The peaches were just something I decided on. Small things can be found in the junk-pile by anyone, with a bit of looking~))

I can fly, when I am combined with my team. [Technically, at that point, 'they' were also flying.] Gunmax can fly when he combines with his bike, and Deckerd can fly when he combines with J-Loader. [Of the three, he realized, he was at a disadvantage. If it came time to fight, he'd have to consider something else.]

[Suddenly, he feels strangely embarrassed to talk about it, which has never come up before. On his world, everyone knew that they combined. He'd never had to describe it.]

It allows me to put my strengths with that of my team. We...work together. In one body. [Now he's going to add sadness to the awkwardness, and he really doesn't know what to do with that. None of his team is here.]

In my world, there's always an Avatar that's born to keep balance and peace everywhere. I'm the latest one. I was...taken, from my world, just when it looks like civil war's about to break out in one of the major cities. I was taken when a bunch of innocent people and my friends were taken to jail, and they could still be there for all I know. I was taken after realizing that one of the ruling councilmen of the city is completely bad news for everyone. I was taken without warning--my family and friends will have no idea where I am!

[mccrane]

[He's quiet for a moment, because...how do you respond to something like that? If he was there, he'd want to help, somehow. Not being there, and not being able to do anything for you?]

I'm sorry. [He speaks softly.]

On my world, I was also built to keep the peace, and protect civilians. Without me, and without Gunmax, and without Deckerd...those who are remaining might not be able to save our world, when it comes under threat.

They might die.

It may not help to know that I understand your situation, but...

[He looks closer into the camera of his communicator.]

Maybe neither of us should be sorry. It helps me, to know someone else shared my predicament.

It makes the task seem less lonely, when those I care about are far away.

[You're the closest thing to Seia he's met, even if your personalities are not much alike. It is the responsibility you share, however...and also the brown hair. He misses her, and hopes she'll be alright.]

Oh, I was telling Deckerd on another phone link call thing, that maybe if you find any intact cars, those might have gas still?

[Korra frowns, rubs her chin.]

And did you see that message from Swindle? He's some kinda merchant blacksmith I guess--and I think he said he does mostly armor and weapons, but maybe he knows something about gas?

The island off the coast of the Koreas, yes.

[His smile stays, not minding having to repeat himself. Sometimes humans forgot what they'd had conversations about, especially when they were flustered...and if waking up on an alien planet wasn't enough to fluster someone, he didn't know what was.]

Those are both excellent suggestions. I can see why you were marked to be a leader on your world.

[Granted, the idea of drinking gasoline out of cars was a little disturbing, but he did prefer it to starvation, and the suggestion was still good. Actually, it...made him think on something else important.]

Woah, me, a leader? I--nah, I can't lead anything. [Korra's had nothing but bad luck back home lately. Now she's here. Great. At least the people were pretty nice.]

How many--yeesh, actually a lot by now, um--

[Actually starts counting on her fingers.]

First I met Knock Out, red armored guy, he was nice. Then Wing, and...hmm, I've met Ratchet, Drift, Slipstream, Blurr sort of, Deckerd, you, Gunmax, Swindle, this blue faced robot guy more my size, Elita, this card player guy with like white yellow hair and a dark coat...and I think that's it. Though a lot of them are people I just ran into, some I kinda got to know better...there really are a lot of us here right now. Though I think most of us are robots.

If not leading, at least organizing. [He nods, believing it.]

Because you have had the most contact of anyone that I have spoken with. If you continue to do so, you might be able to help all of us.

[She could certainly direct people to the right person for solving their problems.]

[Korra stares. Kinda gapes. Then blushes. It..what...well, she was flabberagsted. Organized? Her? Holy shit, that never happened before, no one's every told her that before. The closest thing she ever came to organizing was all the martial bending moves in her head and memorizing those--which was completely useless with airbending! ...Though Tenzin had said that element was about change and adaptation. And Korra just went through a lot of changes. There was nothing to punch or fight against, just a lot of people to ask questions about what the hell was going on. This was a weird adaptation she was doing, but she was doing it so far.]

Oh, well, just...just this phone vid link--I've never seen anything like it before, and a lot of us are using it to reach out to everyone...!

[Why does Korra feel the need to try to explain his point/compliment away? She acknowledges.]

...But, I'll keep that in mind, McCrane. Thanks. I'm used to fighting everything, but there's really nothing to fight here. But I have to do something...y'know?

I don't--wait, actually...I think there might be someone. Drift mentioned going to Ratchet for medical help, so he might be used to working on robots like you. And I've met Ratchet a little, he seemed nice, helped me out with water too.

Sometimes, its better when problems can be solved without fighting.

[It was a mantra he believed in, but wished he could live by better, himself. He knew all the methods of investigating, and was happiest when he could be problem solving...but he couldn't deny that often the first 'solution' to come to mind involved his gun.]

It is still activity, at least.

I wish I could fix you guys myself, but waterbending healing won't work on you...I'm pretty sure it won't, it kinda only works so well with the human body because it's already made of so much water....

[McCrane listens...and...as he does, he's starting to understand you a little better. You're very eager, and outgoing. He'd been thinking of Seia, earlier...but you seem so much younger than she is.]

It is hard on you, isn't it. [He tilts his head.] You want to be able to help everyone, I've noticed. To keep busy. [Granted, he does wish you could heal them so easily.]

But you already have so many talents, Korra. [He smiles.] Use what you know, and do not worry about what you can't do. [You've already helped him so much, today. He doesn't want you to get sad over this.]
