[Video | Alpha Trion's Temple]

[There's a moment of fuzz before the video actually settles and comes through completely, Smokescreen standing just outside Alpha Trion's temple, one hand resting on his hip as he holds the camera with the other. He'd been filled in by an acolyte, of course, but that didn't make him any less prepared to believe completely, meaning that he had to go out and see everything for himself. A part of him wanted to find Alpha Trion himself--mostly because he couldn't believe the other was still functioning--but right now he wanted to see if he could find any of the others.]

Smokescreen reporting in. Anyone from Team Prime out there? I figured it'd be best to touch base with at least someone before I started trying to just find you guys or something like that.

[Despite the odd nature of his situation, Smokescreen seems pretty relaxed--or he's at least keeping himself together pretty well because he's not really sure how he got back to Cybertron. Sure the acolyte had told him about that giant hole that was dumping people through but..that..was about as believable as saying Starscream had changed for the better. At least in his opinion.]

Arcee? Bumblebee? Bulkhead? Ratchet? Optimus? Anyone? Come on guys, don't leave me hanging please. I really want to get the real details of whatever's going on and you're the ones I want to hear it from. As much as I'd love to just believe this was all good and well and Cybertron was really in an okay state like this, you'll understand if I completely and totally don't believe it right?

[He's itching to go and do something, like always, shifting his weight back and forth as his doorwings twitch some.]

I was...injured.

Kid, I don't remember doin' that. [This isn't awkward at all.] You're right, though. I am injured.

But that..how.......this doesn't make sense. How can you not know me?

Maybe...cause I just haven't metcha yet.

[He remembers Wheeljack saying something about different times and dimensions.]

I've heard about people from different times on their world. Maybe this is the case. [He doesn't completely understand the concept, and aside from Cliffjumper, the others have all been around the time he knows.]

I don't--what do you mean? I really don't get anything that's going on right now, even with the explanation I was given.

[He's getting frustrated, mostly because no one recognizes him and he feels really, really alone all of sudden.]

Means that we haven't met back on our world. Not for me...not yet anyway.

[He can hear the frustration.]

Look, kid. Work with me here. If you're really part of Team Prime, I wanna know more about you. Tell me where you came from and how you know me and the team.

...I was an Elite Guard back on Cybertron. Assigned to Alpha Trion in the hall of records. He became my mentor, I learned a lot from him, then the hall of records was attacked. I got knocked out by 'Cons before I could do anything, woke up on their ship and managed to escape then ended up on Earth where I found Team Prime.

[He says it all with a lot less enthusiasm than when he recited it all to Cliffjumper, if only because he really, really wishes he at least had someone that recognized him.]

[Bulk's silently wishing he knew the kid.]

Elte guard. Working under Alpha Trion in Iacon? Heh, you must be impressive. [He's genuine about that. Elite guards were some of the best.]

We're lucky to have you, from the sound of it.

[Smokescreen shrugs a bit, managing a small grin.]

Haven't been in too many fights yet..did get the best of Starscream though.

[He goes quiet for a second.]

...Thanks, Bulkhead. That..means a lot.

Welcome. [Have a small smile in return.]

Starscream, huh? Good job. He's not an easy one to best.

[He can't help but grin a bit more.]

Yeah, well, I guess I've got a few tricks up my sleeve here and there.

Heh, I can tell.

[His mood, and smile, drop a little as he goes more somber.]

So, I get better by the time you know me, huh?

[Smokescreen's mood mimics Bulkhead's a bit, the rookie nodding though he's still somber in his own right.]

Yeah, I mean..you still have some healing to do but you're a lot better than you were.

[It does his spark some good to hear that. A relief to know that eventually he gets well enough to help the team again. When right now he feels almost useless.]

That's good to know.

....Hey...Bulkhead...I mean it. You really do kick some major Decepticon tail. You and Miko both are too stubborn to let those injuries get you down okay?

...right.

[No..the rookie's right.]

I know. I want to get back to shape. To help out around here, even if there's no war on this Cybertron.

Then you will. If nothing else, I won't let you slack off.

[He gives the other a reassuring grin--almost a smile even--doorwings twitching happily.]

You'll be back to full strength in no time.

Oh really?

[Is that a challenge kid?]

How do you plan to do that?

[Damn right it is!]

By not letting you just sit around doing nothing. Plan on having me around all the time!

Not much else that I can do right now.

[There's a hint of frustration in his tone. Still frustrated over Ratchet disappearing, and his inability to do much to help look for him.]

Hey that's a load of slag. You can work on getting better and not letting yourself lock up, big guy!

Been doin' that since I got here.

[Or trying. Slag these slow recovering injuries to the pit.

He mutters softly.]

I couldn't even help search when Ratchet disappeared.

[Smokescreen's expression starts to fall a bit but he catches himself and puts on yet another determined look.]

All anyone can ask of you is just to keep doing your best, Bulkhead. I doubt anyone is giving up on you--I know I won't!

[Bulkhead's expression shifts from annoyed, to his own determination. The image shifting with him as he pushes himself up. The tires on his back rolling a little with the movement.]

Where ya at, kid? [He wants to meet this optimistic bot face to face.]

[The rookie immediately perks up more, doorwings shifting in a happy little movement at the determination he sees on Bulkhead's face.]

Huh, shoulda guessed.

[Smokescreen had said he guarded the guy at one time. Why would't he be there? As he moves, there's that familiar sound of metal scraping against the floor as he walks.]
