[When the vid feed pops up on the Link, it starts with Swerve looking pretty confused, but this isn't exactly new to anyone who knows him.
To those who don't, welcome to Swerve-ville! Population: This boxy motherfucker and a whole lotta mouth.
He does perk up pretty quickly though, which again, isn't all that surprising. Swerve is pretty ace when it comes to looking like he's perpetually in a good mood.]

You know, I kind of thought we'd crashed through some kind of portal at first, 'cause this looks a lot like Cybertron. So I was thinking maybe there was some kind of massive surprise twist on the way and the Knights of Cybertron were actually on Cybertron the whole time, but it was an alternate version of Cybertron and the quest was actually supposed to teach us a lesson about perseverance and friendship.

Buuuut then some mech who was with me when I came out of recharge explained most of the actual situation to me. Kind of a disappointment, really.

[Though, if he thinks about it, this is actually pretty good. If there was a test on how everyone on the Lost Light was best friends, they would have failed it pretty quick. Because they're them.]

But, uh, just a note here? Waking up to a mech who was watching you during recharge just to explain the whole situation? Actually pretty creepy. So... might wanna get management on that.

((OOC: Tags forthcoming when I return from classes.))

[She gives a brief nod to that, since it did seem to merely be a question of a naming difference, and then leaned back slightly, carefully folding her arms over her chestplates to make sure the video wasn't josted.]

No, luckily not. I think it either needs enough of a spark and sentience attached to it to be able to be affected, or just enough sentience if we're talking organic species...

Early on, there were a lot of... creatures [She shrugs; it's not the best description, but there was such a variety of the attackers that's the simplest collective noun to use.] that fell from the Lambda, unglyphed.

They were all hostile and became even more so as well as stronger as time went by, until we or the Firstforged had all dealt with them... or they'd left for the Badlands-

I think that's sort of reassuring. At least it means there's no plan behind it, whether or not we get to be part of a plan after we're already here.

[She'd rather the selection be arbitrary than carefully chosen. She'd rather have been yanked away from her own reality by chance rather than careful calculation.]

Maybe, yes... [She trails off, frowning slightly as she tries to think over what's been said, or implied.] I think, though, that both when the first of us appeared, when that invasion happened and given the buildings, that it has happened more than once, even if it's just happened once while we've been present.

The Firstforged haven't really talked about whatever... "refugees" were here before the first of us came. And whoever else was here before us with the Firstforged aren't here any longer.

[She shrugs.]

When I and the others who were "first" of this... current wave? we woke up out in the junk pile, because apparently the Acolytes weren't sure what to do.
