[When the vid feed pops up on the Link, it starts with Swerve looking pretty confused, but this isn't exactly new to anyone who knows him.
To those who don't, welcome to Swerve-ville! Population: This boxy motherfucker and a whole lotta mouth.
He does perk up pretty quickly though, which again, isn't all that surprising. Swerve is pretty ace when it comes to looking like he's perpetually in a good mood.]

You know, I kind of thought we'd crashed through some kind of portal at first, 'cause this looks a lot like Cybertron. So I was thinking maybe there was some kind of massive surprise twist on the way and the Knights of Cybertron were actually on Cybertron the whole time, but it was an alternate version of Cybertron and the quest was actually supposed to teach us a lesson about perseverance and friendship.

Buuuut then some mech who was with me when I came out of recharge explained most of the actual situation to me. Kind of a disappointment, really.

[Though, if he thinks about it, this is actually pretty good. If there was a test on how everyone on the Lost Light was best friends, they would have failed it pretty quick. Because they're them.]

But, uh, just a note here? Waking up to a mech who was watching you during recharge just to explain the whole situation? Actually pretty creepy. So... might wanna get management on that.

[There is visible surprise on Rung's face and an almost..hesitation of sorts there as well. Swerve is another bot that's connected to bad memories, like Whirl and Fort Max, and he almost doesn't respond..

Yes I suppose the acolytes are a bit creepy in a way..but they are very helpful when you're just arriving here.

[Oh Primus is that Rung He actually prepared for this but that was back on the ship and now they aren't on the ship anymore and he thought he had more time to make his apology suck less and now he doesn't

Yeah! I mean, yeah, they are. With the whole making everyone aware of the situation thing that they do. Yep.

...Ah...how..are you otherwise? Outside of being creeped out, as you said?

[He's trying to make polite conversation, trying to show that he is concerned for his fellow crew mates but it's hard to find a smooth line of conversation for some reason.

Oh, maybe it's because his head is aching a bit again.]

Pretty well for the whole being sucked into an alternate dimension thing. But y'know you're always asking how everyone is. How're you doing?

[This is the subtlest way he knows how to bring the whole incident up. So sad.]

[Rung manages a small, almost weak sort of smile.]

I suppose getting dropped into a place like this would be a bit unnerving for anyone.

[He almost says something about how its his job to worry about others but he's forced into silence by the question, glancing down and to the side for a moment as he weighs how to answer.]

...I'm functioning.

[The saddest half-smile. Functioning does not mean functioning well, and it's actually a little sad that Rung is at that now, not that Swerve expected him to be much better.]

I guess functioning is good. It's better, anyway. It's something. But yeah, no, I think that maybe we should talk? I mean obviously we're talking right now but I mean in private since I, uh, I kind of owe you an explanation. And a lot of other things, really.

I mean. If that's alright with you. If it's not I can just never, ever bring it up again, ever. [Which would work, sorta.]

I would be alright with that. It's..probably for the best, just so there isn't quite so much of this awkward air each time we interact...

[He says it with a faint, faint smile, glancing down thoughtfully for a second before focusing on Swerve again.]

As of right now I have quite a bit of free time so whenever you wish to meet up, we can.

[As much as Swerve would love to do the same, he tried that already and it didn't work. There is no way a place getting off the ground like this one is has enough engex to make him forget for brief periods of time.]

I wasn't gonna say anything if you weren't, but yeah, it really is. We're pretty set for free time anyway, but I need a bit to get my bearings. I'll comm you soon, if that works for you.

[This will give him time to figure out exactly what to say.]

[Because it will give Rung the time he needs to pull himself together and prepare, better than he did for his meeting with Fort Max.]

Same to you. Wouldn't want to rush you or anything. [Just the most awkward but well-meaning smile. He feels so bad and this is going to be so painfully awkward to talk about, but it's like tearing off a tire patch or something. Better to not drag it out too long.]
