[Drift may seem to be in a strangely upbeat mood. Because this? This he can do. He's spent more of his life in a battlefield than anywhere else, and more time in the field than some of his new friends have been alive.]
[In other words, he knows this.]
[The post is voice because he's busy doing his thing. And he doesn't want to take a break or risk traumatizing the weak of spark with what is likely very, very messy stuff.]
We need to coordinate air support. Spotters, at least, to tell us the pattern: where and what we're facing.
You don't have to engage; just spot and report.
[Not really locked to Wing.] ...try to be safe. Don't do anything stupid. [A pause.] That's my job.
[Not really locked to Wheeljack] You ever get those grenades ready?
[Not really locked to Annie.] Where are you?
[Not really locked to Noisy Boy.] These, uh, these don't fight fair. Might want to sit this one out.
((ooc: comm responses and action spam welcome))

[Audio]
[He wanted to be on the ground, in melee, but he knew with precious few fliers and his alt so suited to this job, the air was where he needed to be.]
I won't tell you to be safe Drift, I know you better than that, so be strong. [And at least don't go out of your way to do stupid things?]
[Audio]
[Because they might need to move an injured mech to Solus's temple.]
[And Drift knows what you're thinking.] There are enough of us grounders to do the dirty work. You're more useful in the air.
At least right now. [Because he knows he can't stop you, altogether.]
[Stupid things what are you even talking about? What's not safe about facing down a swarm of horrible mutated monsters armed with two sharp bits of metal? ]
[Audio]
[Because said injured mech might be you!]
Or several times my weight with greatly reduced speed/maneuverability.
Let me know if you need back-up. Looks like there may be a small wave coming your way soon, too early to tell though.
[There's absolutely nothing safe about that. But that's sort of the point with combat. Doing it alone would be stupid however. Hopefully you're not.]
[Audio]
Worry about the others first.
I heard they're heading toward the temples. We might have to fall back to defensive positions.
[Drift's fine on his own. But this time, he has Wheeljack with him. And the sheer force of their Wreckerness will prevail.]
[Audio]
I'll do my best. [And likely fail, since he's worrying about you already. Oops.]
I'll try to make sure you don't get outflanked. Hopefully thy won't try for all of the temples at once, that'll spread us too thin.
[It'll be a sight to behold, you'll have to tell him all about it later.]
[Audio]
[If Drift hears you are worrying about him, he will hunt you down.]
If they go for all the temples, that will leave them spread thin as well.
And that means there's someone or something behind this attack, organizing it.
[Which is a bit more concerning.]
[Audio]
Yes dear.It will be. I'll be looking out for everyone, but I'll try not to come to your rescue and embarrass you in front of everyone.[Oh, and do what?]
Do we have the numbers to cover them all though? Let's hope it doesn't come to that regardless.
That's a troubling thought.
[Audio]
He heard that]More like stay safe so I don't have to wade in and rescue you.
[He frowns.] It's hard to tell. But these? They're not smart. It's not like facing a real army. It gives us options.
[Audio]
[Okay, that was a little
lowcheap.]If I have to go to ground I'll come find you.
We could hope then it's just a mindless horde. As long as the numbers aren't too great they should be manageable.
[Audio]
[Sorry, but hello? Reality knocking.]
I'm hearing reports they may be heading to the temples. Which means there's something behind this.
[Audio]
[Must go and put a damper on things? Point taken though.]
I'm seeing that as well. Either it's organized or there's something instinctive driving them. I'm doing a flyby of Solus's to check on the medic's camp, are you withdrawing to Vector's or Liege's?
[Audio]
[It might sound sharp, but there's a note of worry underneath.]
Not sure right now. Working with Wheeljack here to do as much damage as we can.
[Audio]
I will be more careful.
Let me know if you want help. Or just company.
[Audio]
Just be careful.
[However, Drift will not be careful. If there's any place in a battle more dangerous than where he's standing, he's generally moving in that direction. In short, where he is is the last place Wing should be.]
Fight well, Wing.
[Audio]
Yes, I will!
[As much as he hates it, it's hard for Wing to argue this. He won't burden you with his worry though, and instead trust in your tenacity to stay alive.]]
And you, Drift.
