[Drift may seem to be in a strangely upbeat mood. Because this? This he can do. He's spent more of his life in a battlefield than anywhere else, and more time in the field than some of his new friends have been alive.]

[In other words, he knows this.]

[The post is voice because he's busy doing his thing. And he doesn't want to take a break or risk traumatizing the weak of spark with what is likely very, very messy stuff.]

We need to coordinate air support. Spotters, at least, to tell us the pattern: where and what we're facing.

First of all- yes, I am all right. Thank you for asking. [Because yeah, he can't fight with no hands and you left.]

Secondly, how are you feeling? Has the drug halted the liquid rusting at all?

You're safest there. I don't think Liege is likely to let anything happen there. [Frag, the First Forged threw a conniption about a little rust. He's likely not going to tolerate some sort of fullscale invasion.]

For now. [Pharma gives you a stern look. He's not entirely sure some of these things won't make it inside. Making Drift feel bad makes him feel better about it.]

[The medic turns to his acolyte, who is holding a large weapon of some sort.]

Yes. I need you to mount it here. [He touches what looks like a blueprint with his wrist.] Go locate a welder.

[Look, you can't have it both ways, Pharma. Either Drift stays away from being underfoot all the time or he's right there spreading his own special brand of sunshine in your lab.]

[It sort of hurts, but he's way too, you know, Drift to mention that.]

...what are you doing?

[Ugh, it's a no win situation, isn't it?]

I'm having a null ray attached to my alt mode. [He says casually, with no other explanation.]

I have confidence in you, Pharma. [This cure? He's sure it works.]

As well you should. I am the best doctor Autobot high command ever had. [Can you tell he likes mentioning that?]

[The acolyte returns with a welder and Pharma nods and thanks him.]

Got it from a very interesting salesmech. I've been assured it is the best for knocking out beasties of a wide range of sizes. As long as they are of a mechanical nature, that is.

[He transforms to jet mode, allowing the acolyte to start fitting the weapon.]

If only we'd had a cure back on Delphi.

[He frowns.] Well, if you're sure about it. [He's not fond of the idea of medics becoming combatants. They were kind of...soft.

[Aha! See, you slip too! Drift shouldn't feel bad.]

::It was. Everything was ruined.::

[Sparks shower the screen as the acolyte turns on the welder.]

::I am. Don't forget, the clinic of Delphi was not that far from the mines where the fighting was going on.::

[Drift doesn't want to stir up painful memories. But he apparently can't help himself.]

I wish we'd gotten there sooner. We might have been able to do real good.

[He tilts his head. That's unusual.] You fought the DJD? And lived?

::There is no point in dwelling on it now.::

[Pharma would be smirking at that but he's still in his alt mode at the moment.]

::In my own way, yes. And I'm not dead, am I?::

You're right. We need to concentrate on the present, the battle.

[You really like to watch Drift squirm, don't you?]

No, you're not. I'm just....we need your other skills more. [He worries. And, you know, hands. You didn't exactly win that round, did you?]

[The welder shuts off and the acolyte taps politely on Pharma's chassis to indicate that he is finished.]

::Thank you, First Aid.:: [Insert transforming noise here.]

Of course you do. As I said, don't worry. I know how to conduct myself on a battlefield. And I will remain in alt mode.

[You can't see it but Drift frowns. Hey, you're never that polite to him! And he's brought you lots of great stuff! ]

If you're sure... [Because Drift is not. He feels somehow responsible and would feel really bad if you got injured.]
