Question for the class.

[The thing about building a swoop bike is that you need a decent space to work in, and to build and stock up a workshop you need supplies, and when the supplies are whatever scrap you can rustle up... well, if there's anything Revan likes, it's a challenge.]

[The feed shows a grimy, very dusty Jedi, sitting on... imagine someone took a motorcycle, stripped it down to its bare essentials, ditched the wheels, and screwed on a couple of flimsy-looking stabilizer foils for good measure. Even in this stripped-down state, it's clearly missing many vital parts. Like an engine. Won't be running any time soon. Revan has an... introspective expression on her face. Looks like she's pulled an all-nighter at the med bay.]

Let's say you've done some nasty stuff in the past. Back when you were young and stupid and thought you were going to change the world. And it... only recently hit you how bad things really got.

Not specifying what, exactly; what counts as "bad"'s gonna be different wherever you come from.

Now, my question is, what do you do about that?

Change. Take what you did and never forget it, remind yourself of it every day and resolve, every day, never to do it again.

Heh. Forgetting isn't the problem here.

What if you don't know why you did it? Could be going down the same path all over again and not even know it.

Well, then I guess the question is, is the issue what you did or why you did it? Because if it's what you did, then that's easy enough to just...not do again.

No one from my time, but there's someone here who remembers things differently, like... another version of me. Or he was winding me up. Haven't figured that one out yet.

Oh I've seen lots of planets. Mostly during the war. Just nothing like this. Magic, or something like it.

Is he from a different version of your world? There are lots of different Cybertrons represented here. The Blurr here is not the one I know. His memories are different, too.

I've seen some old temples, old ruins that felt a little like this. Nothing so... vast.

I didn't think of that. Part of me thought, maybe people at home got the facts wrong somehow. [Hold on.] If that's a possibility... Are there duplicates of people here?

[She opens her mouth, then shuts it. There's an interesting philosophical question there.] I guess you don't? If you haven't done anything wrong or unreasonable, that is.

Androids. [He's going to have to do a quick database search for that one.] Human-shaped robots?

Oh, I've done plenty of bad things- unreasonable things too! But why should I care? Any punishment I've received has not been long lasting.

[Marvelous doesn't say anything for a moment; he looks tired, but his expression is resolute when he does.]

Done that. At least, I solved the worst of it before I came here. There's still a ton of work left if I ever get back, though.

I was more thinking, though. What do you do when you find out you're the kind of person who'd do that? That'd throw your whole... mental image of yourself off.

Think you're making more of it than you really need to, lady. Just do what feels right, and trust your crew to call you out if you get too crazy.

[she snorts.]

You realize you've done wrong, you take responsibility for what you've done wrong, and you make amends. If you cannot make amends, you move forward and you compensate. You change, you adapt, you become someone or something better. Above all else, dwelling on the past hardly gets you anywhere.

Easier said than done, but no one said it would be easy.

That's a good question. I'm not proud of a few of the things I've done, but I didn't really have a choice in the matter. It was do or die. Not sure if that helps you any.

No, it helps to know it's not just me, and I'm not just whining. Why didn't you have a choice? If you don't mind sharing.

[A soft laugh.] Well, look at me. People back in my world are scared to death, some of them, of anything that doesn't look "normal" nowadays. They're right to be. Not everyone who changed stayed the same inside, but they don't see it like that for the ones who did. And, [Tuck looks aside.] I wasn't helping it. I... I'm not really too comfortable talking about that part yet.

[Blurr got supplies in his room, he grabbed many things from the Hardware store that magically appeared in the heaven a few weeks ago. She could mention that she needs those at some point.

Blurr stares at the motorcycle for a second and after making sure it's not a corpse of one of his people he seems to relax.]

If you're doing good to make up for the bad, how does that measure up against doing good 'cause it's the right thing to do?

How bad? No, no, ignore that, doesn't matter, does it? [No usual bubbliness here, and this is far too personal for the Doctor to feel comfortable using a video feed, so she only gets his voice. This is, unfortunately, something the Doctor knows all about.] You just...go on. Do your best to make up for it. Try your hardest to never be that person again.

Hope one day you'll finally make up for it. [Or die trying. Sometimes especially die trying.] It's not easy. Some days are worse then others.
