[He tries to make his voice sound a little calmer, a little less unnerved. ]

I'm okay. Something must've, uh, hit me on the head or something.

[Not, you know, the passing out thing. Of course not]

Tell me it's over.

Ironfist, what's the last thing you can remember before you woke up on the planet?

[Screaming 'don't come any closer' like a wuss?]

And I was going to activate the chips and then everything hurt and then I was here.

I thought I must have failed.

[ There's a long pause, then Perceptor signs softly. ]

We completed our mission. [ That's all Ironfist needs to know. ]

We are currently on a version of Cybertron in another dimension. We were brought here through the anomaly known as the Lambda, which is located over the area referred to as the 'junk pile.' The Lambda connects a currently unknown number of universes and timelines. By your standard, I am from the future. You are from my past.

D-did I die?

[Because that sounds pretty ominous, not gonna lie.]

[Junk Pile: not really a poetic name. But fitting.]

So why are we here? And why is Overlord here?

[ Just. Not what came after. ]

We came through an anomaly known as the Lambda. It appears to be a rift in time and space connecting a multitude of universes and timelines. At this time there is no known way to return through it.

I suppose that's...more than a lot of us did.

[Oh, hello there, Survivor's Guilt.]

So we're stuck here? [He's not quite sure how to feel about that.]

[ Perceptor is silent for a moment, then a file blinks through the system. A full list of casualties and survivors from the mission, including injuries and causes of death. ]

We are. Various parties are investigating potential routes home, but as of yet no one has come forward with a solution.

[A sober moment as he scans the file. There's no way he could have turned this into a Declassified, even if he could believe in that anymore. ]

And while we're here? Is there, uh, is there anything I can do?

If you wish to make yourself useful, there are a number of potential outlets for your efforts. Individuals such as Jetfire have expressed an interest in studying the Lambda, there is a small garden being tended for the purposes of feeding the organic population, or there is a fledging police force. Alternatively, they could always use more hands in the medbay.

All I've ever worked on is weapons.

[And it had been good enough--or so he'd thought. But now, with Aequitas in his head, he felt heavy with guilt.]

[A pause, like he's going to shut off the feed.]

It's never how it sounds in the reports, on the feeds.

[A soft noise.]

[A pause. Is it better to give Perceptor the hope that he could maybe do something and then watch that be crushed or to just not go there at all.]

[No, despite Aeqitas, there needed to be hope. At least for Perceptor, for what he'd done. Ironfist owed him.]

Have you found living arrangements yet? It appears those who do not awaken in a temple are not automatically assigned room and board.

I...uh I hadn't even thought of that.

Guess I got used to Kimia: all that stuff being taken care of.

I do. Prior to the recent rush of arrivals, we were issued a room in our corresponding temple upon arrival.

As I will be confined to the medbay for an indefinite period, you are welcome to my quarters in Liege Maximo's temple, if you wish.
