[Add one more to the new arrival pile. This one can be seen picking himself up off the ground, and brushing bits of dirt off... yes, that's a suit. Sort of. Spying the Link, however, earns a raised eyebrow, and a long examination, before he speaks -- talking mostly to himself at first.]

That's nice... drop a person into a pile of junk. No warning, no anything. What's this supposed to be, anyway...?

[He's seen a lot, but this sort of takes the cake. So to speak. But it appears to transmit -- and so:]

Huh. [Just folding his arms.] All right. You got my attention. I'm waitin'.

[This is the part where the criminal pops out and explains their master plan, right?] But you're not going to like what happens, if you keep this up. My experience? Guys like you tend to get what's coming to them. And that never goes well.

... Anyone else get caught up in this?

[Or is he on his own for this misadventure.]

[He doesn't say it, but... he feels a lot better, being able to talk to Toudou. Like nothing is wrong at all.

Don't know if this occurs to you, but human beings falling out of the sky doesn't end well. Doubt we'd be talking like this if that happened.

Uh-- [He pauses. Then Gunmax steels himself; it's better if he says it instead of forcing Drill Boy or Yuuta to deal with it.

He's, sadly, the grown up here.]

There was Deckerd, McCrane, and ... Kagerou. Deckerd ended up getting lost out in the Badlands. He's probably dead. McCrane and Kagerou were destroyed right in front of me. Drill Boy is here with me, and so is Boss.

...Sorry, Chief. [He failed royally on all accounts.]

[That pause doesn't bode well. Not in the slightest. And, apparently, his hunch was right.]

[He needs a second to take that all in, falling silent.]

... Dammit. You were all there -- turned around one damn minute and...

[He must have heard part of that wrong, though. They lost the prototype a long time ago. He can ask about that later -- there's something more important to see to.]

Then you're here. I know. Funny thing is that I've been here for four months. There's some kind of time displacement. I dunno how to explain it. McCrane could if...

[Yeah. Awkward. That hurts to talk about.]

[He has no idea what to say to that. He'd just seen them -- all of them. But they'd been here, and some of them were dead...]

Well, first off, I had to get a complete engine change. You can't get gas easily here, but they have some other kind of fuel called energon. But I needed an overhaul so I could burn the fuel. So... sorry about that.

...Damn it, Boss. Yeah, I was. I kinda don't have legs right now.

What are you apologizing for? You think I'd want to see you run down because of fuel problems?

[Silence.]

[And then his footsteps pick up.]

[Yeah, forget things like being on the other side of Haven. He will walk to the goddamn medbay if he has to.]
