Are either of you available at the moment? I have some questions and...concerns about the current situation that I would appreciate some clarification on.
['Try' being the operative word there; he sounds far more concerned than rushed.]
I have some questions about the recent influx of arrivals. The most important of which is that I - and I am sure you as well - have noticed that a number of them...lack a glyph.
I am aware of the idea that this is apparently dire. You mentioned something similar to me when I first arrived here, but I admit at the time it did not really have much meaning.
[It hardly mattered when they all had glyphs.]
What does it mean? I don't know all of these people, but a number of them are good mechs that we know. They would never join a being such as Unicron - I cannot see how many of them are any less willful or mentally strong than anyone already present with a glyph.
A Glyph...or a Mark of Primus, as it were...indicates resistance to the influence of the Badlands. It ties you to one of us, so that we may grant our power to you, and further shield you from that which consumes. Without a Glyph, you are susceptible in ways we cannot defend against.
And without fail, a sentient being without a Glyph will eventually...change. Willing or not. If a fire is put against kindling, it may want to burn, but...it only takes so long for it to happen. It is my hope that being within Haven will forestall this, because we have never had such an influx of Glyphless, but...
[He shakes his head, mentally picking his jaw up off the ground.]
I...what? ...Like I said, when we spoke the first time, you already knew what it meant to lack a glyph. How else would you know if someone without one had not come through before?
But more importantly, what do you mean? Change? How? Into what?
[Voice; locked] may NOT want to burn, missed a word in there, orz
Your group...is not the first to have been brought in through the Lambda. There have been others...including some without a Glyph. It was from them that we learned so much, including what happens to those without a Glyph.
Both their minds and their bodies change in to creatures whose only want is destruction.
We have tried everything we can think of. But we cannot make these Glyphs. We can shelter them with our power, but it is for a short time - and the drain is excessive, the protection negligible.
[here he pauses, considering for a while, before slowly...]
One of Liege Maximo's...some time ago, one of his lost their Glyph. He was thought Lost. But then he returned, bearing it once more. But whether this has to do with him having one in the first place, or the hope that one without can gain one...

[you're not his priority Optimus but you're still one of his
make the time count]

...what do you mean, 'before'?

[Voice; locked] It's all good~
And they cannot be recovered? There is no cure, no way to...gain a protective glyph for them?
[He's taking it as a given but...if the Firstforged have never tried before, his faith will be crushed, and his tone does nothing to disguise that.]
