CONTACT 001 // VIDEO
[The manic look of someone very new to Cybertron has faded by the time Alia actually makes her call to the network, but there's still an unmistakable wide-eyed expression to her as the video feed picks up. It's probably not helped by the fact that so many of the inhabitants here so are blasted tall that she's paranoid about being stepped on.]
If there are any Maverick Hunters in the area, please respond. This is Alia. I, ah, could use some company about now.
[She taps the microphone-- decorative, thankfully-- on her headset and sighs.]
Ok, so I'll admit to being new around here. I got the orientation, but... what is there to do around here if you're not fifty feet tall?

[It's said a little dryly, though Alia does smile in relief.]
Thanks..?
[The word trails into a question, since she might as well start learning names, too.]
And the name's Axel. Got it memorized?
[Her eyes widen a little when Axel names himself. Wow, small universe.]
Axel... Well, that won't be hard to memorize. I have a friend named Axl. He has the spiky red hair thing down too.
[Her expression falls a little-- and she was stuck here while Axl was still in unknown condition back there.]
I don't suppose you have a trouble magnet built into you, too?
[It might be a slightly sad attempt at a joke, but an attempt was made.]
Huh, interesting.
[He notices the way her expression falters, but gives a small, amused smirk at her question.]
Heh, seems like it sometimes. Don't suppose your friend has a thing for fire and poor decision-making too, does he?

And there's lots for me to do!
[Text]
Oh goodness. Aren't you worried about getting stepped on?
[Not pictured-- curiousface because 7 inches tall sounds interesting and also potentially adorable.]

If you don't mind my asking, what do you do around here? "Make the world ready for Primus" is kind of vague all things considered.

There's lots to do if you know what's out there.

Welcome aboard, Alia. Not all of us are fifty feet tall, unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on the situation you're in on here at the time. But there are a number of things you can do.
My name's Leonard McCoy. I'm the resident human doctor - and, as far as I know, I'm the only doctor here who can efficiently treat humans and a number of alien species I've yet to recognize here. I tend to a garden; grow food and all that, and I could always use a helping hand. The Junkpile is worth exploring, if only to find useful supplies. But I recommend being very, very careful out there.
[Her politely interested look gets juuust a little smirky because oh Light is the human flirting with her?]
I don't know much about environmental engineering I'm afraid.. but I suppose I could help find supplies. I'm told it's best to stay on a medic's good side.
[Not that this McCoy will probably be able to handle repairing her if it came to it.. but it's still a good personal rule.]
[Jetfire smiles slightly after that.]
The average height of a cybertronian is around twenty feet tall, with a spread from around eight or nine feet to forty-fifty feet for a very small amount, however. Our hosts are something of an... ah, exception. Of course, given the gross size difference I'd imagine ten or sixty feet making not much of a difference. You're human?
[He assumes she is, but asking never hurts.]
As for things to do... Presently, there's not much for anyone, so we occupy ourselves as we can.
[Alia shrugs.]
Reploid, actually, but we live in the same scale. Ten is normal upper bound for my kind... though thanks for the correction.
[At least she doesn't have to worry about careless stepping-on as much as she feared.]
I see. I suppose "getting back home" has been pretty exhaustively researched, then?
[Then he shakes his helm.]
Though given everything, it might be better to hope they do not turn up, since none of us truly belongs here... [Jetfire trails off, optics widening at one particular word.]
Reploid? Ah, we... had someone from your world here, then, before. Her name was Leviathan. [Then he lets out a fuzz of static.] With the equipment we have available and what we know, yes, anything so far has come back negative in regards to safe methods of returning to our own realities.
It will require far more research, equipment and possibly more risk than might be worth it unless success can be guaranteed to even begin getting a solution.
[Part of said risk he's already put himself in the way of.]
[Alia hums thoughtfully at the ID, but even a quick double-check to her memory tuns up blank. Pity.]
Leviathan doesn't come up in any of the contact lists I have... but it's nice to know this place can support one of us. Human food is nice but I wouldn't want to have to try and live off it.
Once I'm set up here, I wouldn't mind helping with that research. I used to work in R&D.
[He smiles briefly at that, and then shakes his helm.]
It won't be impossible, no, but I believe she had to get her systems tweaked so she could use the main source of fuel here; energon. It's a very effective and efficient fuel and energy source, but so far any human-standard equipment, present day or what seems to be future from what little I've seen of the Earth in my reality, can handle energon without some changes.
And a fresh viewpoint certainly wouldn't be unwelcome, especially if you have any familiarity with working with pure energy and multiple states of such... multiple realities is something new to us all, however, I believe.

Alia, huh? Welcome to Cybertron, unfortunately everything the Acolytes told you is true.
Worry not, though! There's plenty for us tiny humans to busy ourselves with.
Thanks for the welcome.
Nice to know I'm not the only short one here, either. I was starting to wonder.
Re: [video]
There's plenty few of us. The Cybertronians do outnumber us, but most of them are friendly.
[OK yes there was always the chance that there were assholes here too, but come on.]

Personally, I'm not interested in getting dragged into anyone else's conflict when so many people are at least twice my size. As long as nobody's tearing out anybody else's core in the name of evolution or something, we're all good.
