[It's the dead of night, Mirage. Why aren't you asleep?

Well, to be honest, sleep hasn't come easy for the bot in quite some time. And with Sideswipe now rooming with him, he's found himself lying and staring up at the ceiling more often than not. It...wasn't a happy time, to say the least.

He's..had a couple things on his mind, too.

Leaving a note for the silver bot, he exits the Vectorian temple to get some air...and maybe some space. He didn't want Sideswipe hearing part of what he was about to broadcast.]

...Does anyone have ideas on how to fall asleep? I cannot seem to rest my optics tonight.

[Or other nights, but he'd rather not worry anyone. Unfortunately, Mirage's fatigue is slightly showing.]

Sideswipe has hero worship for Ironhide. It is...different.

Shockwave and Sideswipe differ only in how they emote their anger. The results are no different, Mirage.

Tense, but I'm willing to make deals with him and he's willing to believe me. And I'm willing to get out of his way, which is more than anyone else would get.

[Silence fills the other end of the feed. Those parts were true. It was still taking Mirage one step forward and two steps back to convince Sideswipe how this world worked.

That things were not so black and white as he once thought.]

Telling him would increase those feelings tenfold. It has taken everything within me to accept any help from you. Sideswipe was not taught patience like I was.

It's not help you're getting from me, it's silence. And what makes you think he'll learn patience without having him impressed upon him?

[Or limits, for that matter. Learning to stay his hand when all he wants is to finish it. Barricade pauses himself, for a while, voice rougher and quieter when he speaks again.]

He needs a firm hand before he needs a shoulder to lean upon.

It is strange how silence and help often coincide. Especially with this situation. ...There has to be some way to accomplish this without...tearing his spark chamber out.

[His head dips, although you can't see it, scrubbing a claw over the front of his helm.]

Bumblebee did not even know I was on Earth. He is from when the Allspark was whole.

He hasn't earned knowing from me, even if he cared for it.
Sometimes they have to hurt before they can dragged into enlightenment. The question is, are you willing to do that? Because if not...

[Hearing 'Bumblebee' and 'Allspark' that close together makes Barricade's engine rev briefly, before he can stifle it.]

[It's a heavy question. One Mirage honestly can't answer right away. His intakes hitch a moment, plating shivering as he mulls it over.]

[It doesn't take long for Mirage to transform and roll out, speeding towards the Solian sector. Maybe it was a way to relieve the stress, pushing your engine so much. To feel the wind whip past the windshield...to feel the tires screech during a turn.

High velocity was... exhilarating.

And he'll just sit there parked until Barricade shows up.]

[Barricade doesn't have far to go to get there, shifting to vehicle mode once he's outside of the Temple, and then heading through the quadrant to the designated area. It gives him the chance to blank his mind out and just drive. To be his tires bumping along uneven ground and his suspension jolting when he hits particularly rough patches.

He slows as he approaches Mirage. He doesn't bother to announce his presence, simply sliding up beside him.]

[When Barricade approaches, Mirage's headlights flicker lightly. He knows you're there, polizia.]
