[Video | At the Office]

[Rung had just been working on cleaning up his office and getting things back in order when he'd accidentally created something. A ball of light to be exact.

He'd been having trouble seeing and then suddenly there was light and the little ball that was no bigger than his fist was floating around his head. The therapist had thought that maybe he'd finally snapped or something but he came to realize pretty quickly that the thing was, in fact real.

And under his command.]

Could anyone possible explain to me why I can suddenly make light..balls?

[As he asks it, there's one hovering around his hand as Rung peers at it, cupping it in his palm slightly even as it just kind of floats there.]

[Hey, being a jerk is how he shows he cares.

He does notice that pause and that frown, flicking his wings.]

Concerned someone might figure out how t'turn them against us?

[Or worse, trying to get into the good graces of a certain FirstForged to gain access to some powerful skill. He can understand how that would be a problem.]

...The notion does worry me, yes, all things considered.

[There are some individuals here that are quite...sadistic like that.]

I can't blame you for that. In the least.

[He doesn't know enough people here to trust them very far. Even the people he does know he barely trusts.]

I'll admit, I'm a bit more..hesitant in terms of trusting others since..well..

[He waves his hand, brushing the subject aside.]

But I shouldn't assume the worst with everyone either, I suppose. Not everyone would be quick to use the knowledge of what powers everyone has against Haven.

Yeah, I heard about that. Can't blame you there, either.

Not everyone would. But enough, probably. Guess I'm probably bein' too harsh about it, of course. Then again, if it were me... I'd be makin' charts to keep track of viable tactics based on their skills in case I had t'fight them.

I suppose that's a good point as well. With the way Haven is, there's no telling when something might happen and we turn, like those without glyphs did a few months back.

[Rung sighs softly, rubbing his forehead a bit.]

This place can be far more complicated then where I'm from, and that's saying quite a bit.

Something could happen that causes folks to turn, or someone with less than noble intentions could show up. It would hardly be the first time it's happened here.

[He was here for that whole Overlord thing, after all.]

Eh, things are pretty complicated everywhere; just have to look at the right spot and tilt your head a bit. Though there's significantly more avenues for tensions between folks here than in other places.

So I've heard and experienced.

[Rung's glad he wasn't.]

...Things..do seem a bit on edge at times don't they? It makes it very hard to actually build a society here. Though, honestly, most don't seem all that interested in doing so.

Can you really blame 'em? A lot of them are either coming straight from an Autobot-Decepticon conflict or they're being unwillingly thrust into it here.

And really, most of us ain't cut out for building a society from scratch.

No, I can't. I understand why they act as they do.

[It was just sad.]

That doesn't mean we can't try though. What else can we do?

Yeah, I know. Gotta do something about it. Beyond, y'know, the usual.

[Because petty murder has worked out so well for them so far.]

Hoping things work out f'r the best, regardless of how this whole... 'building a functioning society from scratch' thing goes.

Hopefully something can be figured out.

The real trick is figuring out how t'keep the warriors busy when we aren't being attacked by monsters... that doesn't end up with the participants in jail.

Yes that is the challenge, isn't it? There have to be some alternatives..we just have to catch their interest.

That's the difficult part, considering their interest is mostly fighting. Unless we wanna set up gladiatorial matches for them to let off steam in...

[He's pretty sure that's frowned upon by most people.]

...Doesn't Megatronus have something like that in his quadrant?

Think he has an arena. I don't know that anyone uses it beyond Megatronus's Glyphed, though.

It's..something we could approach him about. Ask him if he'd be willing to extend the use of it to those willing to following his rules and whatnot in terms of the actual fighting.

Truth. It'd at least be worth a shot. [Even with how unpleasant Megatronus has seemed on the network.] And maybe it'd keep at least a few folks from getting too antsy.

[Rung pauses a moment, thinking.]

I might see if I can get in touch with him.

Probably a good idea. Just be careful, he strikes me as the snippy type.

[Or the violent type, anyway.]
