[Yep. Lyra's been hanging out in the junk pile. And by hanging out, when she tells people that, she really means camping out there because the temple reminds her too much of being with Mrs. Coulter.

So, yeah, it's really just not comfortable being there.

She's got herself a pretty nice little place established, though it's not really that great for a kid and her daemon, but she's stubborn.

Right now though..]

It ain't real easy to find food people can eat around here. So, um, anyone know where I can get some stuff to bring back to camp?

[Arms crossed, she acts all cool and collected as she asks but she's really hungry at this point.

So much so that it's showing in Pan who's curled up in her arms as a rabbit looking quite down trodden.]

[VROOM VROOM HERE COMES THE TANK VAN.]

Unfortunately, she's not really up for a greeting of any sort when he gets there, her conversation with Rose having left her in a pretty upset state.

So much so that she's sitting in her little makeshift shelter, legs drawn up to her chest with her head buried against them. It's Pan that greets Ironhide, the daemon in the form of a beagle, whining softly at the tank van as it gets closer.]

She's really upset, I don't know if she'll come out.

[He transforms, walking the rest of the way into the little camp. Easier not to step on the... transforming thing this way. Speaking of which -- he crouches down as Pan shows up.]

What's got her all riled up?

[As he looks over to where the girl's huddled.]

Hey, kid. You ready to roll?

She was talking to someone and the lady called her pig headed. It really upset her, sir.

[Pan whines softly as he turns to look over at his human, Lyra not bothering to lift her head though she does shift a bit, a sign that she did hear Ironhide.]

...Just going to stay here.

Pig-headed? What's that even s'posed to mean?

[He grunts, and holds a hand out, just outside the little shelter. If he actually puts it inside, part of him worries he'll make the thing collapse.]

What? And let me bring you back jet fuel and crystallized energon snacks? Don't think you'd have a good time with those.

Stubborn or something. Means I'm a brat I think.

[And she didn't like that because she didn't think she was being a brat. How was trying to take care of herself being a brat?

She lifts her head finally, tears lingering in her eyes but she's trying to act as if they aren't there, staring at his hand for a second before slowly unfolding from her position and crawling out to climb onto his hand.]

Can't be any more stubborn than me, kid. Wouldn't worry too much.

[He's trying to be reassuring, here.]

[And he's not going to comment on the tears. He just lifts her up, and holds her to his shoulder. Silently offering a ride.]

[She snorts a bit, crawling onto his shoulder and getting settled as Pan flits about in the form of a bird now, Lyra getting a firm hold on bits where she can to keep herself secure.]

Guess that's why I like you. 'Cause you're like me.

Heh. Wonder if the planet can take two stubborn sparks like ours.

[And off they go!]

Well, if they can't right now, they better learn quick. 'Cause I ain't about to change anytime soon.

[She's not going to lie, she kind of likes having these big robots to help her get around.

Makes her feel powerful.]

And I ain't changed in five million years or more. Probably more. Kinda stuck like this.

[Well, how else is the kid going to get from Point A to Point B? Unless her animal transformer thing can turn into a car...]

Ain't a bad thing though.

[She pats his shoulder bits slightly with a grin before leaning against his head slightly.]

Must mean you're good like you are.

Heh. Or... means I'm just too stubborn to try and change anything.

[That's a joke. Kind of. Except it's probably true.]

[Lyra snorts, settling Pan in her lap now as he takes the form of a cat.]

Maybe. But I like you like that.

Good to know.

'Cause I don't plan on changing any time soon.

[Oh hey, look, they're almost there.]

Well good. 'Cause I like you the way you are.

[She says that rather matter of factly, huffing some as Pan makes an amused sound.]

Heh.

Ain't you a flatterer.

[And into the hub... thing.. they go.] Go on and pick some stuff out.

Only maybe.

[It's because she likes you, Ironhide.

Once they're inside, Lyra looks around a bit, nose wrinkling before she nods some.]

Alright...

[Time to see what she can find!]

[He sets her on the ground, at that. He has absolutely no idea what he's looking for. Better she go searching, than have him blunder around trying to pick out something he's never seen before.]

I'll help you haul whatever it is you grab out of here.

[Lyra..doesn't move away from Ironhide right away, clutching Pan--now a red panda--close, peering around the place a bit.]

...This..really is okay right? I ain't a thief.

'Course it is. We get our energon free around here. Why shouldn't organics get theirs the same?

[He shrugs, spreading his hands. It makes sense to him, anyway.]

[... Besides, if someone has a problem with this, they can blame him, not the girl.]

...Okay.

[That's good enough for her.

She heads over to start looking through things, Pan turning into a stoat to help her out as he shifts in and out of different storage areas, the pair gathering up a nice little supply that Lyra manages to fit into the pockets of her coat before making her way back to Ironhide.]

Think I've got enough for now.

We can always come back, right?

Good.

And yeah, don't see why not.

[He didn't really move while she was searching, leaning up against a wall and idly scanning the network. When she approaches, he puts a hand down for her again.]

[Looking pleased with that, Lyra climbs up onto his hand with Pan, glancing up at Ironhide and offering him a small grin.]
