[Yep. Lyra's been hanging out in the junk pile. And by hanging out, when she tells people that, she really means camping out there because the temple reminds her too much of being with Mrs. Coulter.

So, yeah, it's really just not comfortable being there.

She's got herself a pretty nice little place established, though it's not really that great for a kid and her daemon, but she's stubborn.

Right now though..]

It ain't real easy to find food people can eat around here. So, um, anyone know where I can get some stuff to bring back to camp?

[Arms crossed, she acts all cool and collected as she asks but she's really hungry at this point.

So much so that it's showing in Pan who's curled up in her arms as a rabbit looking quite down trodden.]

[The Seeker's first reaction is to want to scowl at being scolded by an organic, and an immature one at that. But if touching a manifestation of someone else's spark might do damage, or there was some other similar reason, he supposed he couldn't fault her for being upset. He keeps his expression neutral, though he can't help asking...]

Only daemons can touch each other and people can touch each other.

[Asking more out of curiosity than anything. And he couldn't blame her for not knowing all the specifics yet. He's OLD even by Cybertronian standards, but he couldn't elaborate on all the details and consequences of why it'd be bad to touch his spark if asked. He nods.]

But a person can touch their own daemon, right? And vice versa? [Just double-checking, since he's seen them interact with each other physically.] So Pan's an energy being made up of your spark . . . soul . . . energy. He looks like he's solid...?

[Lyra sighed--almost huffed.]

Means you really like them or something. I dunno. That's what the masters at Jordan said.

[But she also wasn't sure how right they were; she's not going to risk it though.]

Course we can! Pan's my daemon so of course I can touch him. Just no one else can.

I don't know exactly how it works. You'll have to ask whoever's in there. [Since this part is built specifically for humans and other organics, it's too small for him to get into, so he'll be dropping her off and waiting outside.] I'm sure there's some stipulation, though probably a minor one considering the people who set this up. I think I remember hearing something about if you find something in the Junkpile and you're not in immediate need of it, donate it to the Pantry. Something like that.
