[Barricade is not talking to the camera. He is talking to a small-ish dragon with bronze scales sitting on his desk. Across from the firelizard is a similar dragon made of metal with glowing green optics. The organic and non-organic dragons are both staring at each other, shifting on their feet and twitching their wings. The robotic one eventually takes off into the air, using tiny turbines in its wings to hover for a few moments before landing again.

The organic one turns to look at Barricade after that, squeaking and growling at him. He grins.]

That's what I figured. W-

[He starts looking towards the camera when the robotic firelizard creels metallically at him. He stares for a moment before looking at the feed finally.]

As I was about t'say. I think I've gotten all the kinks worked out with this little fella. He is a mechanical firelizard - non-firebreathing, of course.

I'm hopin' to make more and release them into the wild but I was wondering if anyone might want one for themselves before I start tweaking the programming from 'tame' to 'wild'. The design and mechanics would be the same with each, but with paint t'your liking.

How much larger could you design one?

This one was designed t'be two feet long or so, not including the tail; I'd have to rework some things to get it much bigger. What size were you lookin' for?

They're flight-capable and can hover like you probably saw. I don't know that they could keep up with a car or a jet goin' full-out but they'll keep up pretty well if they can. They're also pretty fond of perching on things - namely shoulders - and sunning themselves.

I've set 'em up to run on energon so feeding them won't be a problem.

They're good at clearing out small vermin; Rumble used t'go ratting in a warehouse I rented. Though pets are generally f'r companionship; I'm guessing you haven't had one before?

Frank, shhh...Uhm. The Police Force could use a few, they could be helpful during patrols for those that can not fly. Where did you find the organic one?

[The bronze firelizard chirps and flits up to Barricade's shoulder. He trills to the little creature and rubs under his chin.]

I purchased his egg and raised him up from a hatchling a while ago. Guessing the Force would need them in uniform colors... though you'd probably need a roost for them if you wanted a lot.

[She can't seem to decide which firelizard is more amazing, flesh or metal, and stares eagerly back and forth between them both.]

[Both of the Firelizards sit back on their haunches and preen as Sari watches. Barricade probably based the robotic on it's flesh counterpart a bit too much.]

[In truth he'd been designing one for Saber, but with her gone... he's willing to let his work go to the Haven at large.

Rumble notices Miko looking and sits up a little straighter, trying to look at regal as possible... and then creels loudly. Awh yeah, he's so cool. Barricade chuckles.]

You'll give him a big head if y'keep that up.

I'm not; truthfully I enjoy the work. Didn't get to make things during the war so much.

Rumble's only behaving because he's an attention hog. He tends to nip and scold me especially when I do somethin' stupid. And the mechanical one is based on him.

But generally they aren't entirely unruly.

Took me a while, though. Flight mechanisms aren't my forte.

Exactly like. Just slightly tamer than most dragons... though these'll still nip your fingers from time to time.

Glad you like him. Took a while to figure out how to get it all up and running, but it turned out pretty well.

Interesting. What can they do, and what are they for?

They're mostly for being pets, though I think a few folks might be planning t'use them for tracking and scouting. They can fly and hover as natural abilities, and c'n be a taught a few tricks like the tracking and fetching and carrying things.

Doesn't hurt that they're cute, though.

Just what this place needed - dragons! [sigh] I think it best if they were written to be docile and tame. God knows what they'll do wild. They may just be a nuisance to your kind, but to us smaller, fleshy folk, they look like they could deal some serious damage.

I doubt that; they're barely two feet long, not including the tail. And like I said, they don't breathe fire. [Barricade reaches down, rubbing the side of one claw affectionately under the organic one's chin.] Rumble here isn't much of a nipper even when I was human a while, unless he's hungry or cross.

[Barricade grins.] And considering that I'm the one writing their codes, I suppose that'd make me Wild Firelizard God. In this instance, at least.
