[The video flickers to life showing the faceplates of a grinning black and white mech. Albeit, a wary one.]

Alright, so apparently I’m not in Kansas anymore!

[He laughs at his own joke, clearly he’s not as worried as he should be.]

Is there any bot around that can lend a mech a hand? I ain’t digging this new scene without some backup.

….although this place is pretty cool. Especially with-

[He cuts himself off, shaking his helm to keep on track. He can’t lose his focus until he finds his crew. If they’re even there.]

Yo, Optimus? Bulkhead? Ratchet? Any of you bots out there? Frag, I’d even settle for the twins and Sentinel.

[And now he feels like reminiscing about his old team. Man, did they have some good times!]

Can anyone answer? Any mech, femme, or life out there-

[His visor brightens as he tilts his helm to the left, grinning in amusement.]

Well, besides the bots I woke up to, that is.

This place is on a whole other level! A new scene and everything! Ya feel me?

[He continues to grin, shifting his weight from ped to ped.]

Ah well, I’ve said all I needed to. If anyone is digging this frequency, give a mech a call! Jazz, Third in Command of the Elite Guard, out!

[He shuts the video off, feeling at ease with his introduction. He hoped someone would get back to him soon, but for now he had a new planet to explore! Solid.]

[Nope, he's already upset him. He will not- please don't make him say it. He's just glad this Sentinel hasn't blown a mental gasket yet.]

[He raises an optic ridge and frowns. Damnit, Jazz, why you gotta make this so hard.]

You, as well as the council, were a little... busy. Trying to keep bots on their peds and whatnot, ya dig? [Media, parades, anything to keep them from giving up hope. Even if it was all for show.]

Although, after spending time with Optimus' crew, they did show some potential. [He would admit he was a little surprised, but in a good way!]

Uh, yeah... stuck here. [Not going to mention the fact that Sentinel Magnus threw said parade in a show of power, no matter how 'fabulous' it was.]

So I have to ask... what would you do if you became Magnus? [Ayeee might as well hope for the best. Like changing his unchangeable friends mind. Yay.]

Try to increase morale and change some budgets around, what else? Ultra Magnus kinda ignored the whole rising Decepticon threat thing.

[He finds Jazz's ~~lack of faith disturbing~~ reaction pretty interesting. Jazz never frowns. Like, ever. Not even when the Jettwins blew a hole in his room's wall.]

[Clearing his vocalizer, he tries to regain his cool composure.]

It's nothing, mech. Nothing to stress out over!

[He curses internally; hiding Sentinel from, well, himself was becoming harder than a fragging undercover Decepticon intel. op.]

[Well slag, he might as well tell him. Maybe this was an alternate universe and their residence here was permanent? And maybe there wouldn't be any doomed timelines? Yep, he watched too many holovids with Sari.]

For a ninja, you are not very good at covering up your emotions.

[He leans into the video screen.]

[Sure, the timeline stuff is confusing. He didn't actually consider that Jazz could be from a totally different version of his own universe. You're not talking to a scientist here, ok.]

[He can't help but feel slightly offended. Although, the Earth Autobots might have change his outlook some.

That or he was losing touch? ...Nah!]

Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you. [He points at Sentinel through the feed, pursing his lips in what should have been a stern 'listen to me' but just ended up looking silly.]

So, you become Magnus after UM's downfall. And, uh... I suppose you tried to do your own thing and help Cybertron, but you kinda lost your processor a bit. [A bit? More like a whole lot; Sentinel went BATSHIT INSANE.]

[His expression softens into one of concern, almost worry. Ultra Magnus had always told him that he wouldn't be able to deal with the power- his personality just wasn't compatible with the position. He catches himself, however, and instantly forces his expression back into a scowl.]

Lost my processor? It was probably just the stress, I'm sure I did fine. I mean, Megatron got brought in under my Magnus reign!

[It's pretty clear he doesn't entirely believe Jazz.]

[Oh boy, he had a feeling Sentinel might not be ready to hear this. (Insert vast amounts of concern here!)]

At first you did pretty well; heck, you got every bot on Cybertron to follow your lead.

[He smiles at the memory of the parade, and how it brought several Autobots out of hiding... It was still corny as frag, though.]

The power was probably too much for you to handle at once. You had a lot shoved onto your shoulders, so much that I thought you were gonna give right at the start!

[If Sentinel was here, Jazz would have probably grabbed his shoulder- heck, even hugged him! Seeing Sentinel lose his cool irked him. He made an excellent SIC but a Magnus? No, that is too much pressure for the Prime.]

Like I said, I know what they want to hear.

HA! I'm second in command, Jazz. Ultra Magnus delegated enough to me that I might as well be Magnus.

[He rubs his forehead and mutters something about certain parts of Cybertronian society being a burden that Magnus would leave.]

I guess it depends exactly, ah, when Magnus had his... accident. Where were the Jettwins?

[They were around both Sentinel and Jazz so much, he figures that knowing where they were would help him figure out the differences in timeline. Hell, the only reason he even cares is because of how much happened when he was gone.]

[Sighing, Jazz shakes his head with a smile. Same old Sentinel.]

Around the time we were on Earth tryin' to capture Wasp. We thought he was a Decepticon, but really he was an innocent bot.

[He shakes his helm, feeling slightly guilty for believing he was. But hey, orders were orders. Not much trust in a war.]

The twins were with us; speaking of which,, [He can't help the fond smile from stretching across his face.] They did a great job- shouldn't be surprised, they had us as teachers!

[And the teasing grin is back, even if it isn't appropriate for the current situation.]

That's... the same time I got pulled through the Lambda. Guess it happened after I left.

[This is a lot to take in, and there's still the possibility that this isn't 'his' Jazz - although that line of thought is too confusing to even consider at the moment.]

[Jazz's comment about the twins having done well does cheer him up a bit. Truthfully, he doesn't consider them anything more than soldiers under his command, but hey, knowing he taught them well is always nice.]

Always knew they'd finally get their act together.

[Nodding, he tilts his helm in thought.] It's funny,, [No, no it isn't.] How does that even work? You were pulled from that specific timeline but somehow you were still there when I was.

[The twins are a handful but ya gotta admit, they try to do the right thing... even when they tend to do more harm (by accident!) than good.]

Hey, they are just kids! We put enough pressure on them as it is. Although, they do seem to like blowing things up more than the average soldier. [Welp, here comes the concern for the wellbeing of their fellow bots.] That much firepower can't be healthy, ya get me?

[He puts a servo on his forehead and blinks several times.] This timey universy stuff is... really complicated. Where's Perceptor when you need him?

I'm glad you noticed that as well, I was gonna talk to Jetfire about his, uh, latent pyromania [Slight smirk] but then this whole mess happened.

[He grins slightly when talking about the Jettwins, he was always appreciative of how they worshiped his every move.]

Ah, lets not get all wrapped up in this complicated time mess. Maybe this is a chance for a new start? [Might be too much to ask for after the mess that war has caused. Yikes.]

Hehehe, those kids sure do like to mess around. I remember when Jetstorm somehow managed to freeze every surface in his room and then some. Needed Jetfire to melt things down- [He chokes out a laugh, more amused then he should be.] But he ended up melting their berths down into piles of gooey metal!

[He notices the grin and won't comment on it, not wanting to ruin Sentinels small moment of happiness. The Prime needs to relax more often, smiling looks good on him (wonder what he's thinking about to make him smile that way, Jazz can only guess).]

[Sentinel snorts slightly when Jazz does, his joy is annoyingly infectious.] If I had a credit for every small burn or frozen item...

[He shakes himself. Sorry Jazz, the grin has gone.]

[Even if they're from different times, he can't help but grimace slightly in agreement.] Who should we feel bad for? The ship or for the clean up crew?

You'd be vacationing at some backwater planet by now if you did. [Insert amused helm shake here.]

[Damn, well, it was nice while it lasted. He'll have to work on trying to cheer Sentinel up some more, even if it seems impossible.]
