After what happened, that fight. It's made me wonder.
[More like, after a conversation with McCrane sempai. But that was private, and he won't bring it up now. At least he sounds more confident than he usually does. He looks it, too. Then again, with that bland expression on his face, who can tell?]
Police aren't meant to be as soldiers are. Are they? That isn't what I... [He almost grimaces.] What little the programming tells me, is that.
Would it be better for all of us here, if those in charge of our law enforcement were less like that. More... as police officers? Less of discontent warriors?
[Yeah, that's right, he's talkin' bout you, Prowl. He pauses, and then his tone turns much more fond, warming around the edges:]
And Kay. If you're hearing me... we have work to do. Don't we?

'Discontent warriors', thought...what makes you say that?

... Observations. That's all.
no subject
Are you sure?
[Locked]
You can tell me, you know. I'm good at keeping things private and if something is bothering you and affecting the Police Force I would like to fix it.
no subject
[He pauses. Should he really say...]
[Private]
It's the patrol car. The Autobot.
[Prowl.]
Power Joe doesn't trust him. McCrane is... uneasy about where he's lead the police. I agree with them.
[Because clearly they must know best.]

[Locked]
You mean Prowl. [Blurr's a bit unsure about him as well. Rung warned Blurr about him and he's been rather wary since then. The fact that Prowl was supposed to be his partner when Tarn killed him didn't help.]
He seems to have some unusual methods. [Do you remember that time he dragged skids across half the haven? Blurr sure does.] But I'm sure he means well, in the end. What makes McCrane feel uneasy?
no subject
[PRIVATE]
Yes. I do.
I don't know. If the others distrust him... [They have to know best. They have to.] He's been through too much war. He's a soldier.
We aren't.
no subject
Right now I believe that the Police Force is close to a paramilitary due to our mixed members but not 100% one.
[LOCKED]
I know by fact that a few people have concerns regarding his way of taking action but most of those opinions were about things he did in his own world. [And that's not to be judged here.]
Yes, he is and our backgrounds are different. However, we don't have to become soldiers, in the end is our decision. If the Police force were about to change in such way some meetings should happen first. [There's protocol and paperwork and Blurr will make sure all is clear if they get to that situation. He hopes they don't.]
This is what worries you? The military option?

[He pulls a face and makes a 'weighing things' motion with his servos] You'll have to find a compromise between the two extremes.
no subject
And I don't think there can be compromise. Not here. Not with things as they are. And not with soldiers leading police officers.
Maybe, maybe not. I guess you'll just have to see which end of the scale works better.
[He smirks slightly - but it's less of friendly and more of a
kill them allcondescending gesture][video]
Your advice isn't really advice. It doesn't tell me anything useful.
Re: [video]
From what you said it sounds like the police force mixes the two.
Do you see where there could be a conflict of interests?
But that was what I was saying. That it's a problem.

You'll have a difficult time finding any Cybertronians that were untouched by civil war.
In any case, that experience is necessary on occasion. Particularly when dealing with threats like Tarn.
video
[Wow this is intimidating. But if the others are so uneasy... someone has to say something. Right?]
They're not the same thing as soldiers. If you're all damaged by war, changed by it, should it really be up to you what the police do?
video
You haven't the slightest idea of what you're going on about, do you?
video
I have a good idea.

Here's the reality: You're on a planet with a bare conjunction of a government, no set laws, and a large population of dangerous war criminals. The Haven could barely be called a colony, and you're concerned over the fact that it's native inhabitants have experience in combat.

[... if only because there are more robots and he doesn't live in a closet anymore.]
That's not what I'm saying! Don't tell me what I'm concerned by -- [He pauses, in an attempt to collect himself.] Police shouldn't be made into soldiers. If we need an army, make one.

They can be both, but that's my experience. Discontent warriors or not.
I've got a couple of friends that have been both. Some were police that made better soldiers, and vice versa.
I wasn't made to be a soldier. [He wasn't technically made to be a police officer, either but that's nor important right now so.] I don't want to have to change what I am to be part of a team.
That's an essential part of being a team; not changing, but compromise.
[They're not the problem, which he figures he doesn't need to explain.]
... And one of us already feels as if he needs to change himself. In order to stay part of this force.
I don't want that to happen to him, any more than I want it to happen to myself.
Video
You bet I'm here. And I'm ready whenever you are.
{She seems to know just what he's talking about, too. Or at least...she hopes that's what he's talking about.]

[Wow, did he actually just smile...]
Bring your gear. Your weapons. And armor.
