[Megatron is clearly angry. Very angry. The fact that his usually-absent fusion cannon has been re-strapped to his arm is a good indication of this.]

Unless I hear a very, very, very good reason otherwise, I'm heading to the Pillar. It seems we have some unfinished business to attend to.

[It's easy to tell he's serious because of how many words he's stressing.]

Let it be known that I am a mech of action.

[He holds up the cannon, making sure his intent is clear.]

I intend to show that there are some things that mere words cannot solve.

I agree that the pilar needs to go away but blowing it up might cause a more serious problem. It's huge, too huge to know how tall really it is.

If we make it fall we can't be sure that it won't crush us or even hit one of the temples.

I would not recommend it, but you will do what you will do, I think.

Just let the rest of us get into the tunnels under Solus Prime's temple first. Just in case.

Magnum! Wait, it's dangerous-

[Aaaand kid is totally going to head over there because that's the smart thing to do, right?]

I don't suppose anybody's told you that Ven's friend Perceptor poking the pillar with a stick unleashed a pair of crazy, flying, robot wolf monsters, have they?

[Because Ven had told him about it as part of his 'why you shouldn't mess with the pillar' explanation.]

With that in mind, do you really wanna find out what'll happen if you start shooting at it?

But there's something out there! They came out when Perceptor hit the pillar- they're guarding it!

How about being dead? Or maybe the rest of us? There's a reason.

[ Okay, sarcasm over. Shep puts the commander face on. ]

I won't disagree that words can't solve everything, but I will disagree that brute force is the way to go on this one, champ.

It would be better to be underground if we are to avoid being flattened.

[And even if he doesn't know 98% of the people here, he doesn't want anyone to be crushed.]

There usually is. There are scientists here that might know more. And many have visited the pillar; you might ask what they have found out. On their excursions before blowing it up.

Coordinates received.

Twin cannons with highly explosive incendiary rounds. Single drone rocket missile with ((ooc: whatever the Cybertronian equivalent measure of 3,000 lbs of TNT is)). Controlled sonic booms audible up to 200 miles radius, with ability to lessen the strength and make the blasts more strategic - I can use those for concussive force against enemies . . . or ancient, carven rock as needed.

If we do not know if it can be damaged, why would we take the chance of it doing something worse to us after our attempt? I have seen it scramble brains quite well, and if the man had a weapon then you and I would not be talking now.

You have been to the pillar once, but that does not mean you know everything about it, or what would be the best way of getting rid of it.

You are letting your anger blind you.

I...don't disagree with you there. I don't think it should be there, but if you're thinking of doing anything against it, you shouldn't do it alone.

[He's almost there~]

[He remembers you too, Megs. At the time, you didn't seem they type to go off and do something this crazy.

Now, though? Neither that smirk nor the anger behind it are the least bit reassuring to Axel.]

Uh-huh...

Look, I might be kinda new around here, but speaking as someone who's rather initmately familiar with the consequences of messing with dark forces you don't fully understand? Everything I hear about this pillar basically screams 'Don't touch it, you idiot.'

I mean, I'm sure you're a tough guy, even for a giant robot, but something sent that pillar here, where it proceeded to warp people's minds- and in some cases, bodies- with no provocation at all. And I, for one, am not too eager to find to what provoking it might do.

Jetfire mentioned that the pillar might not follow normal laws of physics. We don't know what is really made of and how the space-time anomaly can affect it. Not to mention how it affects the environment around it.

Maybe we have to start analyzing a part of the pillar to be 100% sure it's safe to destroy it.

Pfft, and what do you plan to do, shoot it into submission?

[If Drag Strip knew who she was talking to she wouldn't dare take that tone with him.]

Whatever works for a lunkhead like you I guess.

I don't mean to offend, but this plan sounds a bit, well, incredibly reckless and dangerous.

You may die. The Pillar is obviously very powerful. Its collapse could cause a major fall out of some sort. A reaction that could blow the entire Haven and surrounding areas sky high.
