[Megatron is clearly angry. Very angry. The fact that his usually-absent fusion cannon has been re-strapped to his arm is a good indication of this.]
Unless I hear a very, very, very good reason otherwise, I'm heading to the Pillar. It seems we have some unfinished business to attend to.
[It's easy to tell he's serious because of how many words he's stressing.]
Let it be known that I am a mech of action.
[He holds up the cannon, making sure his intent is clear.]
I intend to show that there are some things that mere words cannot solve.

If we make it fall we can't be sure that it won't crush us or even hit one of the temples.

[He's adamant about this. However...your warning does give him pause.]
Is there anyone who would know where best to put the blasts to minimize the risk?
no subject
Maybe we have to start analyzing a part of the pillar to be 100% sure it's safe to destroy it.

Just let the rest of us get into the tunnels under Solus Prime's temple first. Just in case.
video;
Yes.
[Smaller creatures should be safe in those.]
You sound like you think there might be another option?
video;
[And even if he doesn't know 98% of the people here, he doesn't want anyone to be crushed.]
There usually is. There are scientists here that might know more. And many have visited the pillar; you might ask what they have found out. On their excursions before blowing it up.

I don't intend to get close.

[He sends coordinates.]
What are your weapons capabilities, Thundercracker?
[Audio]
Twin cannons with highly explosive incendiary rounds. Single drone rocket missile with ((ooc: whatever the Cybertronian equivalent measure of 3,000 lbs of TNT is)). Controlled sonic booms audible up to 200 miles radius, with ability to lessen the strength and make the blasts more strategic - I can use those for concussive force against enemies . . . or ancient, carven rock as needed.

[Because Ven had told him about it as part of his 'why you shouldn't mess with the pillar' explanation.]
With that in mind, do you really wanna find out what'll happen if you start shooting at it?
no subject
[He remembers you. He remembers you with the odd haze of remembering someone that you met while you were different.]
It's hardly a deterrent for me. [There may be a slight smirk, though there's a lot of anger it has to cut through.] In fact, I think its proof that something needs to be done before somebody unwilling gets hurt.
[Not that he's a philanthropist.]

Now, though? Neither that smirk nor the anger behind it are the least bit reassuring to Axel.]
Uh-huh...
Look, I might be kinda new around here, but speaking as someone who's rather initmately familiar with the consequences of messing with dark forces you don't fully understand? Everything I hear about this pillar basically screams 'Don't touch it, you idiot.'
I mean, I'm sure you're a tough guy, even for a giant robot, but something sent that pillar here, where it proceeded to warp people's minds- and in some cases, bodies- with no provocation at all. And I, for one, am not too eager to find to what provoking it might do.

[ Okay, sarcasm over. Shep puts the commander face on. ]
I won't disagree that words can't solve everything, but I will disagree that brute force is the way to go on this one, champ.
video;
Consider this...an experiment to see how it responds. If I win, then the Pillar is gone and no longer a threat. If I lose?
Well.
I doubt many would object.
[He laughs.]

[If Drag Strip knew who she was talking to she wouldn't dare take that tone with him.]
Whatever works for a lunkhead like you I guess.

[He brandishes his cannon for emphasis.]
...
And...who are you calling a lunkhead?
[His optics flash. This isn't the first name he's been called today but he's not willing to tolerate it even once. Not when he is already this angry.]

You may die. The Pillar is obviously very powerful. Its collapse could cause a major fall out of some sort. A reaction that could blow the entire Haven and surrounding areas sky high.

[He sounds rather sad about it, too. SORRY MAGNUM.]
That thing does need to come down as soon as possible, but attacking it on your own might not be the wisest course of action.

If you're going, then I'm coming too.
