Good. Now that that's out of the way.

[ You can't see anything, but you can hear the clicks and whirrs of various hydraulic systems coming back online and hissing. After some lovely help from a 'f r i e n d' (and she uses that term quite lightly.) GLaDOS is back on her feet and looking to move in. Oh yes. Move in. ]

Without the proper facilities in place I can no longer do what I was programmed to do, and that? That won't do.

So naturally, staying in the temple or this 'Haven' won't do for me either.

There wouldn't happen to be any well stocked facilities just so primed for leasing here, now would there?

Maybe some caves? A sinkhole would do nicely too, in fact. For the good of science, anyone is welcome to donate their unneeded supplies or volunteer time in helping. I need all the hands I can get.

Yeah, because letting a fragging AI loose on scientific projects is a good idea.

We should be higher than default, Cybertronians are just better.

[PFF]

You should get your humour coding looked at. That was terrible.

I'm just making a comment based on observation.

[S I G H] Right, because you can notice when you're malfunctioning. The illusion of sentience is almost funny.

Just living should be enough, AI.

Uh huh. Sure.

I think you're over crediting yourself, there.

[SHRUG]

Boredom, mostly.

Oh, and the tiny issue of an AI potentially malfunctioning while in control of a science facility. So, there's that small trust issue as well.

Whoever gave you information about Cybertronians must've been joking. Or really stupid.

There is nothing organic about us. And I don't have trust issues, I have a trust issue. Different things.

Of course not. What does that have to do with anything?

[just gonna ignore the moron comments gosh]

I thought you were programmed for science? It's very small minded of you to try and apply everything you encounter into the same categories.

We're nothing like organics.

Really? How long would it take you to get around?

Seeing as you're so smart.
deadlydoctor: (Oh yeah)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2013-12-31 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Facilities? What did you used to do? [He has a clinic but first he wants to know you better, lady.] And what are you planning to do, if you don't mind the question?
deadlydoctor: (With this hands....)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2013-12-31 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
[He tries to live up to his name.]

The 'I think I will try to find a cure for the red rust' science or the 'Opps I accidentally created a mutant zombie thirst for my blood' sort of science?

[MAKES PERFECT SENSE.]
deadlydoctor: (Mocking)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2013-12-31 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
That sort, uh? [Sounds like his kind of science.] Good luck.

You aren't Cybertronian, that much is obvious, where did you come from?
deadlydoctor: (Awww how adorable)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-01-02 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
You are very welcome.

[Luck favors those who come prepared or bring weapons.]

I will try to keep my excitement in check. Are you like the Brave Police guys then? An A.I with a robotic body?

Streamlined? Hm. A lady with style, I would like to see it one day.

Oh, you are telling me. There's mechs here that care so few about their frames. Sometimes I wonder how they managed to survive for so long.
deadlydoctor: (Fascinating)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-01-15 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You will need to make your own, like I did with my clinic.

[Gotta work for what you want, miss.]

What's your dream design then?

[personal profile] treacherous_widow 2013-12-31 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Somehow she just knows this might result in making her processors somehow.]

Exactly what were you programmed to do and what kind of facility did you have before crashing here.
treacherous_widow: (Default)

[personal profile] treacherous_widow 2014-01-07 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
Uh huh. Well, at least you have experience making something out of scrap.

Though, you might have better luck operating out of the temples then finding somewhere else.

Depending on who your aligned with, most of them give you that free range. Some even encourage experiments and don't loom.

[Blackarachnia... might just be a little biased considering her understandings with her own firstforged.]

Otherwise, you might be better off building a work shop out of scrap.

There are quite a large number of buildings spread around each quadrant, usually close to the temples; you could see if any of them might fit your purpose.

As for equipment, that is something which is in much shorter supply, and while you might get lucky and find something that has been outfitted by a previous inhabitant, most likely you'll simply have to search the junkpile for anything usable, or have things made - if they can be.

[Jetfire smiles a bit dryly.]

Since making equipment and tools isn't... ah, quite simple when we lack equipment to do so.
angleofscience: (neutral - totally thinking of science)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-01-06 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, the quadrants are quite... ah, widespread... [If he's joking (even if it's true that they are large) or being very presice, who knows.] but if that's what you want, I believe you may either need to make something yourself, or take to help.

The mountains in Liege Maximo and Megatronus Prime's quadrants may have caves, however, and I believe I've seen buildings spread out around the craters in Nexus Prime's quadrants.
angleofscience: (battle is a science - but better at one)

None of us are locals, really. [He taps his chin and then shrugs.] Since while any Cybertronian present come from a Cybertron, this one... is far different, being it's in a very early stage of formation, apparently. So while I could supply you several overviews of Cybertron as I know it, it would only be of limited use in this situation.

I do, however, have pretty accurate maps of the closest area around the Haven [though, lady, given the quadrants are like 100 miles each, why would you need to go beyond the Haven to find a hidey-hole?] if you would like them.
