[He only lifts his cube in salute, or greeting, and then goes right back to scowling into it, and drinking it too.]

he wastes no time going to town on that cube, kind of skipping over the scowling part and jumping right into 'trying not to feel feelings' territory]

[This is... sort of why he wanted to do this alone. Because it's easier to try not to feel feelings when he's on his own.]

[Now he's trying to eye Gunmax over the top of his cube, out of concern, mostly.]

[for all his big talk, Gunmax really can't just stop feeling feelings whenever he feels like it. He's got a damn good poker face, though, half thanks to the visor obscuring half his face. He was a little too busy chugging through that cube to look upset anyway.]

[SO MUCH DRINKING GOING ON HERE.]

[Because right when his cube is gone, he orders another. It takes a lot of booze to get him even slightly inebriated... and he'd fully intended to get tanked out of his mind.]

[But now there's Gunmax. He can't do that and make sure the kid doesn't do something stupid at the same time.]

[This next cube goes slower than the first.]

And yeah Gunmax totally orders a second cube as soon as his first one is gone. To his credit though, he doesn't tear through the second nearly as fast as the first. Part of him is still reasonable enough to where he doesn't want to get so tanked that he does something stupid in front of dadbot. Like fall asleep in a broom closet. At least his douchebag pride is mostly in tact.]

[He waits until the kid is almost halfway through his cube before he says anything. Yes, he said he didn't want to talk, and that this wasn't something he even remotely wanted to discuss... but.]

[Gunmax is caught a bit off guard, pausing mid sip. He hadn't expected Ironhide to really say anything. After all, he'd said he didn't feel like chatting. Gunmax didn't either, but really, how long could he sit there with his mouth shut? He'd probably already hit some kind of record.]

Yeah. Well. Me neither.

[He just grunts. Like a MAN. But, then he extends his cube forward, to knock it against Gunmax's.]

[hell yeah gunmax'll toast to that, and then down the rest of his cube in the manliest way possible

[He'll drink to that. But more slowly. This isn't a drinking contest, after all. And even if it were, he'd win by sheer size.]

[So it's a significantly less enthusiastic drink that follows.]

[Since Gunmax is all about good choices today, he gets a third drink as soon as his second is empty. Then he grumbles something about his bike and gracefully sloshes some of his drink on the table because yeah. Lightweight.]

[Yes, he didn't want to talk, but... if the kid does... he guesses he should probably listen or something responsible like that.]

[Gunmax makes a half assed grab for the cube, but is quickly distracted by the urge to rant about something stupid]

Oh, my bike! You know my bike. You sat on my bike. It's busted! Y'know, trashed! I was gonna, y'know. I was gonna get it repaired and... and I forget what I was gonna say but I'm really pissed about it!
