WATER [Open to all players!]
(OOC: Let me know if I'm doing this wrong--like, if this is the incorrect format for this re-aligned comm or something, I know there's more than one, and I'm sorta a little confused on which is for which? Anyway, here goes....)
Is this thing on?
[Korra lightly bangs at something, frowning--the screen shakes. She gives a big exaggerated sigh, then continues.]
Okay, I heard there were some other humans like me out here, so given that, I wanted to ask if any of you guys have found water? Like, any water at all, a pool, a river, even a freakin' flask of it? And y'know, same question to anyone, Cybertronians or spirits or whatever--have you seen water?
[Korra blinked, then added in a rush.]
And in case there's anyone who doesn't realize, water's a big deal for humans like me, we need it to survive.
[Korra moves to turn off the screen.]
Okay, that's it, hopefully someone gets in touch with me about this--
[Korra stretched too far or too fast, because she flinches, irritating the wound on her back. No way is she going to ask aloud for medical help. If she can find water, she can heal herself, thank you very much. But then the thought occurred to her--if there were other humans like her, were there like any other healers among them? What if there...weren't? A panicked expression suddenly flashes across Korra's face.]
Um, actually, quick head count--are there any human healers out there that can, y'know, heal...humans?
[Korra's expression distinctly reads without words, 'That sounded lame.']
Well, I'll, uh, raise my head first--or is it hand--?
[Korra shakes her head, raises a hand.]
Whatever, I can heal as long as I have water--it's a bending thing--uh, and that's a thing where I manipulate the water to like do whatever I want including heal the human body. So if there's a human out there who's hurt and has water or can find water, you can come to me for help.
[Korra paused, trying to think of anything else to add. She slowly shrugged.]
Okay, that's definitely it now...so, um, bye, hope to see someone with info on water soon.
[End transmission.]

Re: [video] [ooc: in which korra rambles, a lot]
Hey Knock Out!
[Smiles.]
Did you find anyone you know here? I've met some guys who've found people they know. And were you able to get yourself fixed up yet?
Thanks for keeping an eye out. I've gotten some leads though!--met a lot of people too:
Ratchet offered to let me use some of his water if I can demonstrate how I heal with it.
Slipstream and I have been having an...interesting talk that went way off topic, but she made some kinda vid message about ice where she's at. Do you know Slipstream? She was telling me about the factions you mentioned, called them 'Decepticons' and 'Autobots.' She's never heard of you, but I don't know if you've heard of her or what.
I asked Drift about the factions too, after he said he was an Autobot--I don't know if you know him, or not. Probably not, because he said he knew Wing, and that guy was new to us...though he said he knew Ratchet, but we weren't sure if that was the Ratchet I met.... Anyway, what he and Slipstream say seem to totally clash, but if they're on different sides, well...I guess that comes with the territory. But Drift said the war was over, and I thought it was still on? Though...apparently there are other worlds all over the place, so maybe it's only his world that's done with the war.
...So, were those the factions you were talking about? Decepticons and Autobots?
This motormouth guy--Drift said he was Blurr--mentioned some ice, too.
And this McCrane guy--not Cybertronian though, he's like a robot from another Earth--you're Cybertronian, right?--some of the really tall guys like Prima were explaining everything to me, and I think his siblings were explaining everything to everyone else, so who explained everything to you--?
Anyway, McCrane said he has peaches! Which wouldn't just be water, but food! I haven't eaten since getting he--
[Korra blinks. Looks a bit concerned now.]
Knock Out, what do you need for food? Or...fuel, if that's what you call it? Because McCrane and the other earth robot guys were looking for gasoline, and I don't actually know if Cybertronians need gas. If you're a Cybertronian. I think you are, you don't look like the other earth robots.
And laughs softly at the end of it.]
Don't you worry about me, my dear. I am Cybertronian and we're-- well, we don't run on gasoline, but they tell me there's not much of an energon shortage here. I'll be fine.
It's you we need to worry about keeping fueled. Although it sounds like you're not doing too poorly, finding yourself water and such~. Should I keep looking, or do you have enough? [...He doesn't really understand how humans work, don't mind him.]
And as for some of your other questions...
[He holds up a hand in the view of the camera and starts ticking points off on his fingers.]
Yes, Autobot and Decepticon are the two factions I meant. I happen to consider myself a Decepticon, and I see it as my duty to warn you not to trust what the Autobots say. They're hypocritical creatures, my dear, and they'll twist their words to gain your sympathy and trust. Don't let them use you.
I do know Ratchet-- he and I have already had an... encounter~-- but I don't think I happen to know any of the others you mentioned. Ratchet, though... well, he's an Autobot through and through, Korra. Be wary, hm?
[There are more points he's missed, questions he hasn't yet answered, but he stops there. It doesn't do to share everything all at once, after all. At the very least, one of her questions doesn't need an explicit answer-- his face is still ravaged, dents and dings and scuff in ample evidence on his frame. He hasn't even had a chance to start putting himself right yet.]
Re: [video]
Hmmm, I'll have to check what I've got so far, start dividing it into rations. If I can get to Trion's place and grab some fruits and veggies there, I should be good for a while before needing to restock again. Yeah, I'm good; you don't have to worry about it, Knock Out. Thanks.
I...suppose...it wouldn't hurt to keep my guard up.... [Korra wasn't quite sure. It seemed to her both sides were saying the same thing about each other. There were people she trusted back home, but she had trusted Tarrlok once, he seemed all right, and then things completely derailed with him. Still, even with Tarrlok, there was a little undercurrent of...not right. That she had ignored for a while before getting fed up with him. But she wasn't exactly getting that off any of the 'Bots and 'Cons she had met so far. But yeesh, her whole life was the South Pole, then Republic City, and that was only recently...she didn't really know as much as she'd thought....] Though Ratchet did give me water...but when you say 'encounter'...was he one of the 'Bots you fought with?
[She glances kinda meaningfully at his wounds. She'd got a better view of him when he'd began to count out his points on his clawed fingers, and he still looked bad. She wished there was a way she could fix that.]
[Then she blinks.]
Though, it's weird, I've met some 'Bots and 'Cons that say the war is over, or it hasn't started--I'm guessing they're from other worlds though.
[But boy is he glad he doesn't need to right now.]
That's right. [His expression is serious now-- certainly more serious than the encounter warranted, considering they did barely anything to him and let him get away.] Ratchet and another Autobot named Wheeljack.
Heh. [There's very little humor in his soft laugh.] They used to say that about our war, too, but it's flared back up again recently. It always does.
Re: [video]
Hmmm... [Taps her chin.] Have you been able to get a headcount of all the Autobots and Decepticons around here yet?
Really? I don't get how you can say a war is over, when it's not....
[He shrugs.] Doesn't make much sense to me either, I'll admit. It goes... quiet, but it's never. I don't know how anyone could be foolish enough to think otherwise.
Re: [video]
I can help you with recon, though. It'd be just identifying Autobots and Decepticons for you, right?
[Korra fails at hiding distress. That...that just sounds really depressing to her. Was the 100 year war in her world's history ever like that?]
Re: [video]
[He still looks subdued, pensive. The war's not exactly an easy thing for him to contemplate either.]
Re: [video]
[Korra notices his quiet, seems kinda sad to her. She tries to distract him a little by starting to tick off her fingers.]
Okay, so far, on the Decepticons' side:
3 Starscreams and Slipstream.
And the Autobots:
Optimus Prime; Drift; Wing; Ratchet; Wheeljack; and Blurr.
Not sure about these guys:
Swindle.
Definitely not 'Bot or 'Con:
Gunmax, Deckerd, and McCrane. They're from another earth, so I think they'd be pretty neutral.
So I'll keep an eye out for more and try to keep you up to date, okay?
Re: [video]
Scrap, three Starscreams?! Primus, one of them is more than enough. [He frowns thoughtfully.] I don't suppose you know anything more about them?
Ah, you'll want to add my partner Breakdown to that list of yours. And what's this about neutrals?
Re: [video]
Okay, Starscream A: the Starscream I think Slipstream knows. And he has more magenta armor. Slipstream said her Starscream doesn't get along with this Megatron guy. He's at Megatronus Prime's temple, same as me. Slipstream also said he was Air Commander.
Starscream B: more red armor, looks blockier than you, and he lives at Megtronus' temple too. He's the only one that actually talked about Megatron though, when I mentioned him. Really didn't seem to like the guy.
Starscream C: Didn't see his face, just heard his voice. [Korra frowns, a weird sense of deja vu coming over her.] Actually, his voice sounded sorta familiar...growling like...I don't know, someone I know, but can't pinpoint right now. [OOC: *cough* Amon *cough*] I don't know where he's staying at though. Said he was Air Commander.
Did that ring any bells?
Ah, the 'neutrals' are--well, they're robots who aren't Cybertronian, though they sorta resemble you guys. But they need gas instead--have you seen any gas? But they were born on Earth. Not my Earth though, a different one.
You have a partner? And you found him here? That's great news! [Korra's smile becomes slightly strained, as she remembers Naga back home.]
[He'll have to do a little investigating himself at some point.]
Hmm. So they're... they're Earthbuilt sentient 'bots, then? I didn't know humans had gotten that far! [And he hadn't known humans could manipulate the elements. And Wing obviously wasn't from the same iteration of reality that he was. He spreads his hands.] Well, where I come from they hadn't, anyway. Obviously that's not the case, ah, everywhere. Interesting.
[Sorry Korra, Knock Out's still too overwhelmed by the miracle of finding Breakdown alive to notice your own touch of unhappiness. He smiles.] You have no idea.
Re: [video]
[Korra nods.] Yeah, the closest we have to those on my world are mech tanks, and they can't think or feel for themselves at all, people just pilot them.
[Korra's relieved Knock Out doesn't notice her distress, she's getting tired of revealing her vulnerability.]
So, okay if I ask what he's like?
Mm. Sadly, that's often the case when it comes to organic attempts to with mechanics-- inert, non-sapient things. Vehicles to be piloted and very rarely more. It's a bit of a shame, really.
[He laughs lightly.] He's big~ Big and broad and strong, and very handsome, if I do say so myself.
Re: [video]
But that other earth...I wonder if my world will eventually have real robots that can feel and think, too? That'd be much nicer than the mech tanks....
[Grins. Thinks of Bolin.]
Sounds like a friend of mine back home.
Re: [video]
Well, that will depend on how well your people do with AI, won't it?
[He chuckles.] Oh? If he's anything like my Breakdown, you'll want to hold on to him, my dear~.
Re: [video]
[Korra wants to ask another question, like what's 'AI?'--but she could get how question after question could tire people out, such as that other magenta Starscream.]
[Korra blushes very hard. Oh, did Knock Out just stumble into something really awkward. She coughs a little too loudly.]
Oh, um, thanks, Knock Out, I'll--I'll have to keep that in mind next time I see him. [She glances away, still blushing. Oh so awkward.] But I dunno, I think I'm probably just gonna swear off on guy-holding....
Re: [video]
[In other words, almost definitely not, but he's not about to start discussing inter-Decepticon politics and power-play with you, Korra, no matter how much he likes you.]
[So instead he grins, and his chuckle this time is knowing.] Oh~? It never hurts to have a partner, you know.
