WATER [Open to all players!]

(OOC: Let me know if I'm doing this wrong--like, if this is the incorrect format for this re-aligned comm or something, I know there's more than one, and I'm sorta a little confused on which is for which? Anyway, here goes....)

Is this thing on?

[Korra lightly bangs at something, frowning--the screen shakes. She gives a big exaggerated sigh, then continues.]

Okay, I heard there were some other humans like me out here, so given that, I wanted to ask if any of you guys have found water? Like, any water at all, a pool, a river, even a freakin' flask of it? And y'know, same question to anyone, Cybertronians or spirits or whatever--have you seen water?

[Korra blinked, then added in a rush.]

And in case there's anyone who doesn't realize, water's a big deal for humans like me, we need it to survive.

[Korra moves to turn off the screen.]

Okay, that's it, hopefully someone gets in touch with me about this--

[Korra stretched too far or too fast, because she flinches, irritating the wound on her back. No way is she going to ask aloud for medical help. If she can find water, she can heal herself, thank you very much. But then the thought occurred to her--if there were other humans like her, were there like any other healers among them? What if there...weren't? A panicked expression suddenly flashes across Korra's face.]

Um, actually, quick head count--are there any human healers out there that can, y'know, heal...humans?

[Korra's expression distinctly reads without words, 'That sounded lame.']

Well, I'll, uh, raise my head first--or is it hand--?

[Korra shakes her head, raises a hand.]

Whatever, I can heal as long as I have water--it's a bending thing--uh, and that's a thing where I manipulate the water to like do whatever I want including heal the human body. So if there's a human out there who's hurt and has water or can find water, you can come to me for help.

[Korra paused, trying to think of anything else to add. She slowly shrugged.]

Okay, that's definitely it now...so, um, bye, hope to see someone with info on water soon.

[End transmission.]

[Korra frowns, looking concerned and confused.]

So your entire world's all nonbenders? [She blinks.] Um, that's what we call people who can't bend. Has it always been like that. People never had those...abilities?

[Korra's not sure if a world that never had benders or had benders removed would sound better to her or not. It' just...weird, to think of a place without bending. It seems like there'd be less variation, less culture. But Korra frowns--how right is that? People surely look as different as hers--who still varied, whether they could bend or not. Korra pinched her nose, trying to ignore her incoming headache.]

Not at all. If there are any people with those powers, I've never heard of them.

Doesn't mean that they're powerless, of course.

[Korra thought about Gunmax's last words. Asami wasn't helpless. The Equalist chiblockers and Amon and Mustache Guy definitely were not helpless. Tahno didn't have to be helpless, she didn't have to be helpless if she ever lost her bending--but to be the Avatar was to bend, and she had been training to be the Avatar her whole life. It wouldn't--she couldn't handle losing her bending. Especially in a place like this with large robots that made her feel small and helpless. Bending was her only defense now.]

...No, of course not.

[Korra looks down, rubs the back of her neck.]

So, Gunmax, who've you met in this world so far?

Two of my comrades, a guy named Breakdown, and one of the really tall guys -- Megatronus.

Looking for someone particular, Korra?

I think I saw on another...window...thing on the phone link thing whatever, about some guys asking for gasoline? Are those your comrades?

First guy I met was Knock Out, then Wing, and I ran into Prima and Megatronus too. Prima told me I had Megatronus' glyph thing stamped on my arm. Now with this water message I've met a lot more--another human boy named Raf, Ratchet, Drift, this flyer jet lady, this blue motormouth, and now you, too.

Anyone from my home would be nic--no, they're better off back home than here. [Korra sighed.] Though at least Naga...we've never been apart like this before....

Mmhmm. That's McCrane.

Right, this glyph thing -- still a little shady on how that's all supposed to work or its meaning. But sounds like you and I have the same glyph, kiddo.

... [This is the part where he's supposed to say something comforting. Why couldn't Deckerd or McCrane be here to do this? Gunmax rubs the back of his helm for a moment.] Look, I kind of get it -- being separated from your friends. You want them here, but they're better off back on your own world.

But that doesn't mean you're by yourself here, all right?

You too? [Korra checks out the mark on her harm. Looks back to Gunmax.] That's cool, I haven't met anyone with this glyph too until now. Did you see Megatronus bend fire? [Korra spread out her arms, lighting up fire in each hand to demonstrate.] He lit up this huge flame in one hand, it was more like a bonfire--real crazy. [She wasn't about to say it was scary too at the time, how the bonfire could've engulfed her whole, it was so big.]

[Korra blinks, slowly. Then gives a small, slow smile.]

...Thanks, Gunmax.

[Gunmax lifts up his arm where the black glyph has marked him.] Yep, I've got it, too.

He made fire--? [He's briefly distracted watching Korra bend fire like that. The way she creates it so easily is a bit mesmerizing.] No, I didn't see him do that. That's pretty interesting.

...Uh. [Gunmax folds his arms, looking a bit embarrassed.] Well, whatever. No big deal.

[Korra smirks at Gunmax being sorta bashful. Doesn't comment on that.]

I wonder if Megatronus can bend the other elements?

[Korra frowns.]

What did you think of Megatronus, anyway?

Someone that big being that powerful -- that doesn't bother you?

Not too sure. First impression I had? He's all right. Direct and to the point. I can appreciate that about someone. I was expecting the bunch of 'em to be vague and cryptic.

[Korra shrugged.]

Never said it didn't. But he could bend one element, I was just wondering if he could do all four. It'd be nice to know exactly what the guy can do, y'know...just in case.

...And yeah, it is intimidating, the guy doesn't even have to light a fire, he can just step on me.

[Korra again thinking about nonbenders and benders--did nonbenders see Korra and other benders like Megatronus? That intimidating?]

[Korra nods.]

Well, at least that's nice to hear about him.

Prima was pretty direct too. Didn't beat around the bush. [Almost overloaded my brain with info.]

All four. Is that unusual where you're from?

Good point. Maybe it was just an example.

Didn't talk to Prima, so I can't speak for him. What was he like?

[Korra suddenly looks like a rabbit-dear in the headlights of a Satomobile.]

Um, it is actually. Only the Avatar can bend all four elements--water, earth, fire, air. But I thought--where, new world, new mega huge guy like Megatronus, starts bending fire, I started to wonder if he could bend anything else.

[Korra wondered if she should say she was the Avatar. It kept coming up. Gunmax would be like the third person she told. Wondered if he'd figure it out if he remembered her talking about waterbending at the very beginning, and her just firebending in front of him.]

At the time, I was freaking out--but Prima seemed nice. Thought he seemed pretty bummed about the whole 'you guys are all stranded here' thing.

So the Avatar can bend all four. Can anyone bend two, or are they usually stuck with just one?

[Gunmax folds his arms and looks at Korra as curiously as he can through the transmission.]

Megatronus didn't seem that concerned, so it sounds like Prima wears his heart on his sleeve. ...Eh, so to speak.

...ummm, no, no one can bend two, everyone else just bends one, and only one person can bend four, which is the Avatar...which is me....

[Korra sees no point in the charade, and she just sucks at lying.]

Interesting! So that makes you pretty unique where you're from. That's impressive, Korra.

[She grins, wide. Nice boost to her ego right there.]

So...were you...ah, where did you come from? I mean, not where where, but...um, where do robots come from in your world? Do you guys have anything like parents?

[Korra supposed if the mech tanks were alive too, Hiroshi would be like their dad. And Asami their sister? Okay, this was getting odd.]

Parents... well, not really. Sort of? We had a team of people that constructed us. Humans made us.

A man named Toudou designed me. I didn't get to meet him for awhile, though. I guess he's as close to being my father as you can get. But we don't procreate like normal humans do.

There's...I've seen sorta of robots like you before, but we called them mech tanks, and they didn't really have faces, but they did have legs and arms--but they were sorta more like a different shaped Satomobile.

[Korra's eyes dart around nervously, wondering if she's being offensive at all.]

Anyway, they were built by humans, and I...I was just wondering outloud if they could've made someone like you, too.

How come you didn't meet Toudou right away?

Satomobile. Some kind of car model? [He shrugs.] Ah, like a vehicle?

Well, those aren't intelligent robots. My friends and I are self-aware, though I guess that's pretty obvious. We're a bit more special due to certain circumstances. Not much like those mech tanks you talked about.

I don't know. Doesn't sound like they made... other robots like me. Self-aware and feeling.

I was constructed on another country. He only designed me. After that, I was stationed somewhere else unlike almost all the other BP models. It was awhile before I met the others.

It's another name for our cars, yeah.

How did they make you, uh, self-aware?

BP model?

Hmm. [What the heck. Korra seems like a nice kid; he doesn't see the harm in sharing.]

BP model -- that's the kind of robot that McCrane, Deckerd, and I are. We're self-aware because... well, Deckerd was the first of us. He gained emotions after he interacted with Yuuta, who became our boss. Yuuta helped him think like a normal human.

After that, every BP model was based on Deckerd, so we all have a personality.

So are you guys all like brothers then?

Not really the way I'd look at it. Technically all humans are related, but would you call your boyfriend your cousin or brother?

[Korra turns red at 'boyfriend,' thinking of Mako for a flash, and even that time with Bolin, and Asami's there somewhere too.]

Um, no, I don't think so.

[Korra blinks.]

Uh, when you bring that up, are you dating anyone? Do you guys have significant others too?
