[When the vid feed pops up on the Link, it starts with Swerve looking pretty confused, but this isn't exactly new to anyone who knows him.
To those who don't, welcome to Swerve-ville! Population: This boxy motherfucker and a whole lotta mouth.
He does perk up pretty quickly though, which again, isn't all that surprising. Swerve is pretty ace when it comes to looking like he's perpetually in a good mood.]
You know, I kind of thought we'd crashed through some kind of portal at first, 'cause this looks a lot like Cybertron. So I was thinking maybe there was some kind of massive surprise twist on the way and the Knights of Cybertron were actually on Cybertron the whole time, but it was an alternate version of Cybertron and the quest was actually supposed to teach us a lesson about perseverance and friendship.
Buuuut then some mech who was with me when I came out of recharge explained most of the actual situation to me. Kind of a disappointment, really.
[Though, if he thinks about it, this is actually pretty good. If there was a test on how everyone on the Lost Light was best friends, they would have failed it pretty quick. Because they're them.]
But, uh, just a note here? Waking up to a mech who was watching you during recharge just to explain the whole situation? Actually pretty creepy. So... might wanna get management on that.
((OOC: Tags forthcoming when I return from classes.))

[Swerve looks pensive at that, and then switches gears to a more sheepish sorta look.]
It might be. I haven't really checked out the Badlands yet.
During take off, someone got too close to the quantum generators and ended up mashed into them. Ore was his name. [He doesn't say that Ore didn't actually like him much unless he was pretending to be Pipes.]
Video;
I haven't, either, but it's probably just as well... Doesn't seem like a place you should go to, but I should probably get a better idea about it.
[If only so she could do her "job" well if it was needed.]
Engines and science isn't my thing, but that doesn't sound good. At all. They're responsible for things like your version of space bridges or transwarp portals?
Video;
On one hand, it's called the Badlands, so it can't be good. On the other hand, It's called the Badlands, so it's probably interesting and full of things we need to know.
And yeah, sort of. They're like space bridges but with shorter distance and less portal and massive structures.
Video;
There's that, yes. [And she can't help but laugh at that.] Especially the "need to know" part because if the Badlands are connected to the Lambda, and anything not marked by a glyph is affected...
[She's not sure, exactly, where that could lead
considering they aren't yet exactly aware Unicron's behind the Lambda..., but that does feel like it could be a useful thought.]Ah. We do have similar things on our ships as well, but we call them transwarp drives, or just transwarp.
Video;
Wow. Good to know, I guess. Does that include non-sentient species, or am I gonna have to start worrying about my berth scooting out the door while I recharge?
[Rumors are good enough facts for him alright. At least, they're good enough to spread 'a friend of a friend of mine got information from some other person that there might be a slight possibility that maybe' gossip.]
Same basic principles then. Probably.
Video;
No, luckily not. I think it either needs enough of a spark and sentience attached to it to be able to be affected, or just enough sentience if we're talking organic species...
Early on, there were a lot of... creatures [She shrugs; it's not the best description, but there was such a variety of the attackers that's the simplest collective noun to use.] that fell from the Lambda, unglyphed.
They were all hostile and became even more so as well as stronger as time went by, until we or the Firstforged had all dealt with them... or they'd left for the Badlands-
Video;
Still... [He shrugs with his shoulders and with his arms.] If that's happened once, what are the chances of it happening a second time?
Video;
[She'd rather the selection be arbitrary than carefully chosen. She'd rather have been yanked away from her own reality by chance rather than careful calculation.]
Maybe, yes... [She trails off, frowning slightly as she tries to think over what's been said, or implied.] I think, though, that both when the first of us appeared, when that invasion happened and given the buildings, that it has happened more than once, even if it's just happened once while we've been present.
Video;
[Swerve is the Mayor of Chilltown. Population: Who cares.]
If it's happened already, why hasn't anyone who was here before talked about it?
Video;
[She shrugs.]
When I and the others who were "first" of this... current wave? we woke up out in the junk pile, because apparently the Acolytes weren't sure what to do.
