This guy.

Hopefully he's being more careful, seeing as he's narrating this entry while staring down the scope of... Something. It looks like a fusion of his usual sniper rifle and a certain someone's plasma weaponry. ]

I'm rather fascinated with the abilities of those pages to create a working item from admittedly sparse notes. This particular weapon functions far better than I could have hoped, considering I did little more than jot down a few rough concept sketches. The accuracy is a little off at the moment, but with a few adjustments I feel it could be quite formidable in combat scenarios.

[ He pauses to line up a shot, humming thoughtfully as a bright blue blast obliterates something (that looks uncannily like a toaster) in the distance. ]

Hm, perhaps if I modified the scope...

Ah, Vandal, could you spare a moment or two? Seeing as the conceptual basis of this gun originates in your technology, I would appreciate your input on modifying it further.

To everyone else... Has anyone had any items or effects linger from the, mm, outbreak of oddities we experienced recently?

I designed it, or at least the majority of it. The actual construction was done by whatever forces governed the pages themselves.

That's one farkin' beautiful piece of weaponry you got there. Seem to know how to handle it to, which is a bonus.

Sounds to me like there's a reason for us to be packing, the way you're talking. Or is this a 'Just in case we need weapons' thing?

I have quite a bit of experience with high caliber long distance firearms.

[ A thoughtful hum. ]

I do not believe there is currently any great need for weaponry among the general populace, although that was not always the case. My own interest in weaponry is based in curiosity and entertainment. I designed this weapon simply to see if I could, with no expectation that it would actually become a reality.

Fair enough. We all have our things I guess. Can't say your interest in weapons is the worst ever--actually right up my alley. Ever shot a laser pistol or laser canon before? They got a kick but oh are they nice to handle.

I've fired quite a wide variety of firearms in my time, including laser-based weaponry. They are interesting, to say the least.
