[The video turns to show the strange Megatron who is in residence here.]

After some consideration I have decided that this is probably the best course of action to take. I have a couple matters to put forth for your consideration.

First, I have not yet properly introduced myself over the link and I feel it is time I do so. My name is Megatron, I come from the same universe as Soundwave who arrived here before me. I would like to assure you that I understand the difference in my personality from what many of the other Cybertronians here have come to expect of someone with my name. Keeping this in mind I wish to assure everyone that I am a peaceful individual.

My second matter is I wish to inform everyone that if anyone needs someone to speak to concerning their own safety or other's they may come to me. I am aware of the police force we have developing here and have the greatest respect for all those involved. I also recognize that there are times when going to such individuals is not an option for various reasons, it is due to this that I am making myself available to anyone who feels a need for it. I will not allow the originating faction of any individual to alter how I assist any one, and I am not restricting any organics either, all are welcome to come to me and be taken care of.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

[Locked: Blurr]

I hope this does not offend you in any way. I did not wish to over step anyone but I am aware that some people do not feel secure going to the law, perhaps because the feel they will not be considered fully due to a personal history. I wish things did not go in such a way, but it does tend to be a factor in societies that have laws. Of course I will contact you or the police force if there is a direct need to, but not having it be a looming factor may be beneficial to some.

[Action] LOL a bit of TL;DR - that's likely to happen a lot, TC's a very cerebral mech 9,9

[ANYONE thanking him for...anything...is kind of strange. Hearing it from Megatron - okay, 'a' Megatron - is...almost wrong. It's more subconscious than conscious, but there's a part of him that's looking for the edges of a facade, a hint of nastiness behind the smile. More than once, he's seen his own Megatron put on a good act to dupe someone into thinking he's a good mech, into trusting him. There's that part of Thundercracker that's determined never to be taken in by any such ruse. He pays for his mistakes enough as it is, as does anyone in his faction. Especially, it seems, his trine. Starscream is a given - the mech asks for it as often as not...though just as often, it IS truly unwarranted. And he and Skywarp have never been exempt either.]

[He schools his features to hide the
grimace as he pushes those thoughts away, squaring his shoulders and forcing his wings down a bit into a more relaxed position on his back, flicking a bit before they settle.]

[He studies the mech before him - really studies him. So similar, and yet so SO very different. Finally he nods.]

The pleasure's mine, sir.

You wanted to know my abilities?

[Once a natural role had been assumed, it was hard – if not impossible – to go back. If anyone would understand that, it was Thundercracker. It takes him a moment to be able to answer that, honestly confused as much as anything. No one has asked him any such thing in so long – he hasn’t let HIMSELF explore any such thing in so long – that he doesn’t really have an answer.]

Sir . . . [A shrug.] I am a soldier, a Decepticon. My life is combat. There isn’t anything else.

[Hearing the mech state it so makes him almost wish there were more, as if there should be. Not that there really should...right?. The last makes him snort a soft, rueful laugh.]

Sir, direction with tact and skill is not exactly something I'm used to anymore on the best of days.

[The rest, though . . . he can only shrug almost helplessly.]

I don't know what your world is like, Lord Megatron, but where I'm from, we aren't allowed personal wishes or values. We simply do as told.

[He let the "or else" hang unspoken.]

I . . . have not allowed myself personal interests for thousands of vorns - it was considered, ah, inappropriate - [to put it tactfully] - but . . . I will share what I discover now that I'm here. I have been attempting to get out more than I normally would and make contact with people. [That's actually a big step fro him.]

[The need for direction, for purpose, for a clear leader to turn to when he doesn't know what to do, nearly overwhelms him suddenly, and he has dropped to a knee, head bowed, before he's even fully aware of what he's doing. When he does realize what he's done . . . he doesn't correct himself.]

Lord Megatron, by the brand on my wings, I offer my life and my skills, however you may have need of them.

[Old-fashioned maybe, but in a very real sense, Thundercracker is an old-fashioned mech, being that he's a very OLD mech, one of the oldest still surviving in his faction, from the early days of the war. Before it, even, if not by so much.]

[He's not been given permission to stand, or even straighten - he's been beaten for less before - but he dares to look up now, half-sure that this mech might not think to remember to give such permission first before Thundercracker's embarrassed him with not moving for too long. He's still knelt but he sits back on his heel, shoulders straightening proudly, wings high on his back.]

Thank you, sir. It means a lot to me. I will not fail you.

[In what, he doesn't know . . . but for the moment, that doesn't matter. He just won't.]
