For the record, shooting the big guys made of metal, not a good idea. Most of them take some objection to being shot at. And a lot of them are decent anyway, so unless you don't like good people, shooting them is a bit pointless.

You might find some ammo out in the junk pile, but a lot of things are scarce. Food is too, so if you need anything special to eat you may have to look quiet a bit, or ask for some help, to find it.

You can shoot anything non-sentient and anything that attacks you. Don't shoot anyone bearing a Glyph without a very good reason to do so.

Welcome to Cybertron. It seems it's impossible to leave, but I'd advise against simply shooting. The general population is working together, and I haven't seen any hints of war.

As far as finding anything you'd like, the junk pile is a good place to start.
