[Voice] PSA and a Plan
Hey uh guys? Those "explosives" that Prism asshole was talking about?
All a fake. I opened Drift up and took a look and it turned out he was bluffing. I hope that's worth a little peace of mind or... whatever. From what I could see, it's just like a tag. Nothing intrusive. I couldn't remove it, but it's not dangerous.
On that note:
Teddie and I were kind of talking about having a party of sorts. Like kind of a karaoke-movie-drink-yourself-dumb extravaganza. I was thinking maybe when Casa De Vandal is finished I could host it there? I still have to fix everything, but I have most of the equipment.
Thoughts? Ideas? Can I get a 'Hell yeah'?

[Action]
It does. But I haven't really had much time to take it all in. When I do it's just... overwhelming. Kind of scary.
[She laughs, catching his gaze.]
Of course they are! Shit, I don't know where you guys were all my life.
Hmm, sounds good. Not sure, as many as I can get. It was an open invite. probably not as many as your party.
[Hmm. She experimentally slips a hand behind one of his helm flares into a hard-to-reach spot and scratches there idly. It works on Drift, why not his his boyfriend?]
[Action]
I can relate, to a certain degree. Though I began life on Cybertron I spent that last few centuries on a remote colony world in a city hidden underground. Probably bigger than a starship but still just as isolated and enclosed.
[Wing joins her in laughter; it's a touch infectious and after the earlier pall, a welcome sound.]
It was destined to be, obviously! Sorry it took us long though. [His optics squints in what might be a wink. It's hard to tell, given you can only see half his face.]
Have you put in a request to Vector yet?
There were...a surprising number of people at that party. I think it just goes to show how much people need the commraderire and joy that coming together socially can bring.
[Wing's a little surprised at the gesture, but it's not unwelcome. Vandal's hands are small and delicate, warm on the interlocking plating. He tips his head so it's easier for her to reach, a soft chirr under his breath, the note echoed by the pitch of his nacelles.]
[Action]
[Hearing only positive response, she settles and continues scratching.]
Yeah, I think I can forgive everyone's tardiness just this once.
And no, I haven't yet. It's kind of intimidating to talk to those guys.
[There's a shift and her hand works it's way down to his jaw and chin.]
Yeah. I wasn't really a social person before this. But I guess my desire to hang out with a bunch of drunk, giant metal guys overrides my social ineptitude.
[Action]
[It's pretty impossible to keep up the grim overtone with all the attention he's getting though.]
We'll try to be more punctual. At least you have personal comm frequencies now.
[His frame shifts under her as he shrugs softly.] I can see that, but Vector has actually been very interesting to talk to, and it's been easy enough for me. Though I can see how size alone might be an intimidating factor.
But, you may not even have to speak to him directly. When I requested permission to have the party on his temple grounds, I left a message with an Acolyte and got the response the same way. I didn't even ask for the high grade, the building, the other resources or the Acolyte's help. Vector just granted those on his own!
[He smiles, because he takes this as a good sign.] Maybe you have more good reason to be social now? Aside from drunk robots that is.
[Action]
[She's glad, briefly, that nothing too bad has happened between factions here. It's been mostly outsiders that have caused issues.]
Mmmhmm. Good. I expect that much.
[Yeah, you're getting the full head scritches, Wing.]
Well, I suppose I can look into it, then. And yeah, I like you lot a bit better than I like most humans where I'm from.
[She rests her chin between the helm flares, liking the way his armor warmed comfortably.]
You know. You and Drift are a lot alike. 'Cept you smile more.
[But you're both dorks.]
[Action]
[War in general is a horrible thing... but when you only have Yourself to blame, it's worse.]
[But oh, yes, scrtiches are good, and comforting, which makes that subject easily bearable. He'll just lean into that a bit.]
I could ask, but I've done so once already. And it wouldn't hurt to converse with Vector more. He's really quite interesting.
[Fanboy much Wing? And he responds to that contact with a gentle nudge of his cheekplate, something like a giant nuzzle.]
Drift is...still learning to smile again. The course of my life has been darkened by less misfortune than his.
[Your dorks, apparently?]
[Action]
If you would? That would be great.
[She had found out some things about Drift, but she felt like she was kind of at the tip of the iceburg.]
I can tell. I would think you of all people would be able to bring that out of him.
[A soft shrug.]
But there is a cheat-button, y'know.
[Action]
[A chuckle.] Silly, I meant you should really try talking to him. Or at least leave a message with the Acolyte. Who knows, maybe I've used up my highgrade stipend for the month."
[A very big iceberg.]
I try to. Still, it's a rare sight when he smiles. I'm...also at the center of one of some of the more painful memories. But we're both trying to get past that.
[His brow lifts under his helm and he glances at you with a curious optic.]
Cheat-button? ...How so?
[Even if he guesses, he's still gonna make you say it.]
[Action]
[Ahh yes. Subject change. Good. She grins and gestures.]
Yeah if you get your fingers up under his side joinings or arm joints...
[Yes, she fully intends to sic Wing on him in this manner exactly.]
It's definitely hilarious.
[Action] /casually dying
[It was possible there was something involved that he didn't know about, and far be it from him to judge based soley on limited information.]
Ah--get my? In his--? What!? [WAIT, what was she talking about? Wow this conversation took a sudden turn towards interesting.]
O-Oh! Ahhhaha...ha.....
[Have a suddenly flustered mech! Apparently Vandal's relationship with Drift is...far more advanced than he realized. Wing is...really not sure how he feels about this except being overwhelemed by Awkward and Conflicted.]
[BUT.]
...Hilarious? [Not exactly how he'd describe tactile interfacing really... Because, what else would she be talking about?]
[Action] GDFghdfgsh WING.
You know? He gets all giggly? Ticklish? It's funny the lengths he'll go to to avoid it. Gets all super offended?
[DUH? What were you thinking, Wing?]
[Action] Ellipses of DOOM
teasingtalk about inter-species relationships. And well of course she'd pick Drift.][....he's just wishing they'd said something...]
[Sorry Vandal, he misses your dubious look, too busy having an internal crisis here!]
What? ....giggly?
[Wait, Drift...giggles!? Why is this event not part Wing's life yet!?]
Err...so he's ticklish?
Really?
And that's why you... [There's a funny gesture Wing does with his hands there. It looks a bit like 'touchy-feely.']
[Action]
[She's giving him a very blank look.]
Is that bad? It's just a form of play for humans...
[Action]
[That's the sound of sheepish silence. And then a very awkward laugh. Followed by a rough ex-vent.]
Ah, sorry. I--know what it is. It's just--[Not the first thing he thought of? CRUDE!]
Well okay, I guess I should explain. Primus I feel like an aft though. Ah--Are you familiar at all with Cybertronian forms of interfacing?
[Stop him any time this becomes TMI, cuz WHOA it might.]
[Action]
Not really. Admittedly Ratchet tried, bless him, to tell me but I kind of didn't really want to hear it from him.
He's like. Like my dad or something.
[She shrugs.]
Besides, it's not like I need to know.
[Action]
Ratchet's intentions are good. But, I can see why you'd want to steer clear.
[He doesn't want to force the subject, buuuut it might be a useful thing to know. If only to avoid Sudden Awkward Situations.]
I don't have to tell you if you'd really rather not know. But if you're getting physical in that way then there's a chance you'll stumble across it all on your own. [He shrugs] It's up to you.
[Action]
[She shifts uncomfortably on his shoulder, hands sliding away.]
Didn't know that was a risk. I thought we were just goofing around.
[And now she feels guilty and stupid. Friendly roughhousing with Drift suddenly something to avoid.]
[Action]
I don't mean it to sound melodramatic. If it was a real risk Drift would have warned you. So you were just 'goofing around'.
[He sighs and covers his face a moment.] I'm sorry, maybe I'm just trying to cover my horribly crude faux pas. I--I should not have assumed...
[Action]
[Man this got awkward fast.]
Don't worry, Wing. You have nothing to fear from me. I'm just a human. And not remotely attractive even if one of you guys was into that.
[She pats him calmly and slumps against his shoulder, cautiously examining one of his panels.]
So you were gonna tell me, then. About robot sex.
[Action]
Hey now, how would you know what we find attractive? [Maybe you deserve more credit than that.]
Ah, yeah. Well, I guess I should deliver after all the lead up. Just one form though, tactile. It's probably more science than sexy to you. Our frames naturally carry piezoelectric charge. It tends to build and pool in certain areas, usually where there's more friction like joints and seams. [He glances over to make sure you're following.] An overabundance of that charge starts to interact with our sensornet in interesting ways. Bottom line is: It feels good. You can create more charge by stimulating the right areas.
[Action] gdfhjsgfhjgsja
Okay. Huh. Not as unsexy as you might think. Actually a lot more... I don't know. Understandable than I would expect.
But uh. Just avoid joints and shit, right? So. That's easy.
[Action]
[He chuckles a bit.] Often concepts are only alien until we examine them more closely. When seen in the light, they become familiar and more relatable. But you understand my momentary confusion now yes?
And I wouldn't say outright avoid--every mech is different, and well, I only WISH I had the personal experience to give specifics--but you'll probably be able to tell from his reaction, and at least this way you'll know why. It takes time to build charge, so you're not going to get an extreme reaction through a simple casual encounter. Though, I suppose things might be extra sensitive if he's not---[annnd his mouth snaps shut around that last part. He looks away, quickly clearing his vocalizer.]
Ahaha, wow, anyway. Does that make sense?
[Action]
And uh. Yeah. I get that now, really.
Ah... yeah I think he would say something if I accidentally somehow. Y'know. Also probably less with the laughing and rolling around.
Wait- if he's not what?
[She's honestly curious. The way Wing reacted.]
Uh, yeah. Kinda, I guess.
[Action]
I'm...pretty sure he would. [Wing snerks.] No, more with 'o-oohing' probably.
[He puts his palm to his face for a moment, venting softly.]
Self servicing. [Yeah that.] It's healthy to release charge on a regular basis actually.
And just to be safe...and save my dignity, I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention any of this to him? The parts, you know, about him. [Wow, is that Wing looking a bit...bashful?]
[Action]
[She barks a nervous laugh.] Yeah- uhuh. I'm not really one to speculate on. That. [Sounds.]
Oh. So wait, robots can like... masturbate?
[OH GOD?]
Well... I guess that's not a far cry away from like. Having sex or whatever so I shouldn't be surprised.
And seriously? We're never. Never mentioning this conversation happened.
