Re/Alignment
December 30th, 2012
You know, I really don't understand how such a treasure trove could be left untouched for so long. Isn't there anyone here who sees the potential in this place?

[The video rolls, showing the smaller, tan and purple con seated on a pile of junk, examining a few things that he'd found with amusement glittering in his purple optics. He tucks it away into subspace before focusing on the camera, a wide, dangerous sort of grin appearing.]

Name's Swindle and it's an absolute pleasure to be here~ I was told something about Firstforged and glyphs and alignments but, honestly, I was far too intrigued by this place to hang around and listen for too long.

[Meaning his swindling senses had tingled and he'd found his way to the junkpile.]

Rumor has it that we're all here to start a new life and all that jazz. Intriguing, it really is. So why hasn't anyone started to proper sort this place and make a shop out of it all? There's a lot of potential here to make all sorts of goodies.

[He picked something else up, eyeing it as his grin melted into a true smirk now.]

Well, it doesn't matter. Now that I'm here, that'll all change.

[Everyone getting their Christmas gifts? Good! It was nice to see the Lambda spreading a little holiday cheer.  And it seems like for the most part, the gift results were...interesting. Not all of them were so easy to obtain, however.  Kay's was one of these.  Oh, it wasn't because it was too big, or dangerous, or somehow a death machine.  Oh no, this was much worse.

A crow had stolen it.

That's right--a real live crow.  But let's rewind a little to what happened early in that day.  Kagerou had gone to do some business...somewhere. He wouldn't tell her, so she went off to do her usual Kay thing.  And that was search for things to put in the nest atop the HQ.  This involved going to the junkpile, of course, and scavenging for anything of value.  It was an average day of garbage picking--nothing of real importance--and Kay was just about to leave, when she saw a small, elongated box wrapped all elegantly in a bow. And it was addressed to her!  It was like the sun shown down on her that day.

But before she could reach it, a crow fledgling had snatched it, taking off to another part of the junkpile.

It...it STOLE from her!

After a long game of chase, Kay's communicator falls out of her pouch, recording as the girl attempts to climb the junkpile towards the bird.]

GIVE IT TO ME YOU STUPID--

[Well, that's off to a great start for some home movies.]

That present is mine!!

[The crow tilts it's head down at her, the box still in it's mouth as it watches her ascent. It's not for long, though.  It waits until she's within an arms reach...before...

hop hop hop hop!

Off to the next pile it goes!]

AGGGH!!

[Near the northern tip of the Haven, a visitor began to noiselessly pass into the valley of Megatronus' quadrant. While it did have the machinery to stay aloft, it was less a jet and more a flying frame tightly built around a large cannon - a gunship of sorts, and one of alien make. Fixed to it's underside was a box. Just a dull box. Any superficial decoration had been removed.]

[Upon reaching the different abodes of the quadrant, it lowered to a hover, engines still silent. The package was deposited onto the ground, and the craft banked to the left before changing back. Looks like it- now a he, was waiting for someone.]

...

[ooc: feel free to poke this weirdo now or on his way out.]

[McCrane is on a late patrol, in the junk-yard at night. With the horrors of the Glyphless catastrophe over and all of the paperwork filed, he has been searching for two things: One, the materials to build a soccer-goal, and two...]

Has anyone seen Gunmax?

[He's worried. He's always worried, of course, but now he looks more worried than usual. He turns, and for a moment the camera catches a small ball of light hovering over a silver-wrapped box with a gold bow. Curious, McCrane approaches, and the light moves out of the video, as does the box.]

I am also wondering about Barricade, as he has been gone for several weeks now. I don't know if keeping track of the populace is part of our Law Enforcement duties, but...it should be done. [McCrane reaches down, and suddenly the silver box pops back into view while he holds it. It's still remarkably well-lit for this time of night, but that may be because there's that small ball of light, shining on it again.]

And now it looks like I'll have to add Whirl onto the list, too. [He fingers the nametag, turning it toward the camera. Today was strange enough, but it looked as if it was going to get stranger.]

Is anyone else encountering unusual lights?

[It reminded him of Drill Boy's mythical fairy.]

((ooc: Posted with Saber-mun's permission))

[Thundercracker's in some portion of the Junkpile.  He holds up a long, slim package - silver wrapping with a blue bow and a tag.  Resting across the palm of the 20-plus-foot-tall Seeker, it looks kind of like someone might have gift-wrapped a pair of chopsticks.]

Does anyone know who Saber is?  I think this is his.

[Oops, wrong gender?  No doubt he'll learn soon enough.]

[After the events of this conversation, a message pops up, sealed to the people and robots Kagerou trusts most.]

[... also Gunmax. Because apparently his fingers slipped. Shut up.]

[The feed shows a concerned blue face, eyes narrowed. It's kinda hard to use the little... thing? with his paws, but that metal creature had said it could be used to talk with other people here.]

Hello...? I am looking for some of my friends.

[Melan hesitates a few seconds. Does that thing even work?]

They... look like me, except red and pink for Eryun, silver and black for Pyon. They were with me just before I was sent here... As was the Monomakia attacking us. The... civilians? amongst you, be careful, that creature is really agressive. For the others, just aim for the eyes.

[The metal creature had assured him he wasn't the only one able to fight here. With a little luck, the rogue experiment would be killed soon and his duty would be fulfilled.]

If the... metal... servant... is right, you can't go back to your home dimension? We are blocked here?

[Melan doesn't look really disturbed by the idea: universe hopping, he is quite familiar with the concept.]

It's really not the funny world...?
